Tastes like if Smarties or SweetTarts were dissolved in seltzer.

For me, this wine was gone. It still had structure, but there was nothing left in terms of fruit. An odd juxtaposition.

Medium bodied and fruit forward, but not over the top. Paired very well with meatballs and pasta in tomato sauce.

Wildly over-sweet with zero acid to balance it. This wine is dead. Query whether it ever was alive.

This wine is straight delicious. Beautiful nose of ripe red fruit. On the palate more red fruit with some smokiness. This wine is in perfect balance.

Garnet with signs of age. Medium bodied. Dried cranberries and cherries but not to fruit-forward. Medium finish.

Notes of pepper and pencil shavings. That black magic marker you'd take a whiff of at school. Very little fruit on the nose or palate. Very nice structure, however. A very well-made wine; just not my cup of tea.

Notes of red cherries, black cherries, blackberry, cola and a bit of barnyard. Medium weight on the palate. Medium to long finish. Paired very well with ribeye.

Medium bodied with standard Napa cab characteristics. I actually think this wine was better in its youth. I don't see it improving with more time. Agree with other reviews that there is no "wow" factor here. By itself it was not at all interesting but improved tremendously with food (Turkish lamb).

Quite fruit forward on the nose with red and black fruits. Much lighter weight on the mid palate than I would have expected - very, very smooth. Nice long finish. The tannins are well-integrated and this is definitely ready to drink. Hats off to Rimmerman for a great find with an incredible QPR.

Continues to impress. Great earthy funk on the nose. Not too fruity on the palate - just the right amount. Tremendous balance and structure. Really good QPR. Would pay $40 for this.

Agree with the other reviews - simple and straightforward Spatlese. Sweetness and acidity, but nothing else. Served its purpose paired with spicy Indian food.

Nice summertime rose. Only criticism is that the high ABV (14.5%) is evident and unnecessary, IMHO.

Pretty classic Sauternes: golden in color; apricots, almonds and honeysuckle on the nose. However, a little thin on the palate - didn't have the viscosity of better Sauternes. Overall decent, but no wow factor.

Second bottle. Better than the first, but still missing something. Remain convinced that was not worth the $30 per bottle.
