what a beautiful wine. superb with baked striped bass in butter with lemon wedges/thyme and topped with sun gold tomatoes (all from our garden). power yet balanced. what a deal! perfect match.

fresh as a daisy. although i have not eaten too many daisies. years to go on this one. excellent. no wooliness but recently chenin blancs from Vouvray region of Loire seem to be more or less deficient in this category. not sure this applies as much to Montlouis

very good wine and enjoyed drinking but does not escape the ripeness seen in 2005. apricot sweetness dominates what acidity there is. minerality is in the background. ripe fruit, broad and rich. maybe in 5-10 years the sweetness will recede a bit and this will be a true delight.
