Decanted 3 hours at our annual truffle event. The nose was a beautiful combination of tar, cedar and roses, but the palate was harsh and bitter. Expected light and ethereal, but was anything but. No fruit and mostly minerals and tar. At 74 maybe my taste buds are over the hill, since I am missing the fruit in several recent bottles such as an 03 Las Cases and an 03 Soc. Mallet. Beautiful light red mature color of the Monprivato.

Dark purple in color. Big palate with some dark fruits and olives, earthiness, and woodlands. Smooth and balanced. Although I like more fruit, I thought this delicious.

A decent sparkler. Light mousse and bead. Soft and smooth tasting slightly of lemon with a nice minerality. Pale white in color.

Shared with and enjoyed by all 7 drinkers at our annual pig roast. I have had this wine several times and it always shocks me how a 23 year old rose can last. Pale orange/pink in color. Not fruity, but nice minerals, steel and earthiness on the palate.

Drinking well at our annual pig roast. Still dark in color. Doesn’t look or taste like a 22 year old bottle. Nice palate of spice, cedar, earth and charcoal and blackberry. A smooth drink with no tannin. Seems it will last many more years.

Purple in color. Nose of cherry and graphite. Drinking well at the moment but should get better. Black fruits with charcoal and herbaceous mineral tones. Fruit subordinate to other flavors. Drinking smoothly.

A beautiful wine. Soft and smooth. No tannin. Earthy with balance of blackberry, cassis, charcoal and ash on the palate and same on the nose. Drink it sooner rather than later before the forest overwhelms the fruit.

Very golden yellow in color that was disconcerting. Not spoiled, however, on either nose or palate. Drank decently despite absence of fruit. Mostly minerals of limestone and crushed rocks. Slightly bitter and earthy. My drinking partner liked it better than me, but we did kill the bottle.

I have always liked this wine having rated 4 bottles from my cellar between 90-93, but it has been 10 years since last tried and time has taken its toll. Still a fine dark purple color. Upon opening and first sips a musty-corky element on nose and palate. After 15 minutes or so it disappeared leaving a smooth drink of charcoal, earth and minerals. The fruit is gone, but a nice drink nonetheless.

Missing Fleurie character on nose and palate. Neither fruit nor flowers. Black in color. Earth and woody on the palate. Somewhat soft, but not what I look for in a Fleurie.

Had this at our annual holiday lunch with oysters topped with caviar. Perfect match. Pale yellow. Some citrus on the nose with steel and limestone. Perfect palate of crushed stones, sour apple with a hint of lemon. Loved by 10 serious imbibers. Smooth and balanced.

Dark purple in color. Nose of blackberry and cedar. Nice palate of blackberry, cedar and minerals. Either this needs a few more years or a good decant. Friend I drank this with has a coravin which we used on several different bottles this evening. The plus, took half the bottle home; the negative, no decant.

Although not a big fan of Jadot wines, this is usually one I like a lot. Not this time. Slightly maderized, bitter and heading downhill. Gold in color and steely nose.

First time for this wine. Dark in color. Chocolate and cedar on the nose. Interesting palate of chocolate, cedar, tobacco and plum. Not as much fruit as I usually like, but I liked the palate a lot. Still a bit of tannin. Should be even better in a few years.

Despite having had many Bordeaux over the years, this wine is new to me. Had it side by side with an 03 and they were very similar except the 03 still had some tannin. The 00 was really nice. Color starting to show some maturity. Earthy nose. Soft and smooth balanced palate of tobacco, leather, pepper, minerals and blackberry. Very ready to drink. A beautiful bottle.

Pale yellow with subtle nose of minerals. Palate started out slowly and was slightly rough. After a half hour or so it evolved into a beautiful bottle. Nice minerality with a hint of lemon and peach. Drank well with squid ink pasta with shrimp. Delicious , both the bottle and the dish. Reminded me of a stony Chablis.

A wonderful wine now, but will be fantastic in the future. Give it least 5 more years to see it at its best. Dark purple with a berry, licorice and minerals on the nose. Lovely palate with numerous balanced elements, but slightly on the big side. No tannin with cassis, cherry, licorice and a nice earthiness on the palate.

Fabulous wine! Beautiful color and nose. A long finish and balanced palate of cassis, blueberry, cherry, cedar, minerality and earth. No tannin. Just beautiful to sip with venison carpaccio and herbed rack of lamb. Still prefer a great CA Cab over other reds. Love that fruit.

A little better than last time tried.. Probably well made, but I guess the bottom line is that I just don't care that much for Brunello. Dark purple in color. A palate of mostly sour cherry with earth, olive and some wood, but not tannic. An ok wine, but not enough fruit to my liking.

Not very impressive. Decent nose of black fruits, but a hard palate with little fruit and mostly minerals and earth. Looking for a lot more complexity from a grand cru. Maybe more time is needed, but not Tannic at this time.
