Lovely lovey cab. Perfect right now. Opened 2 hrs before pouring but I doubt it needed it. Silky smooth, tannins tame. Not huge but the various flavors blended together perfectly. Served with beef stew. Glad I have another bottle.

Rarely is a pop and pour really ready to go. This wine was terrific....smooth, luscious from the get go. Wish I had more bottles.

Good grief. Simply delicious immediately...got even better after an hour or so (didn't want to share this one but I grudgingly did). Big yummy wine.

In my opinion, definitely more Burgundian than the rest of Sojourn's PNs. Unpleasantly sharp and bitter upon opening this bottle but after about 1 & 1/2 hour decant, it was lovely. No "bright fruit" but subtle dark fruit, earth/mushroom. Nicely balanced. Not a big PN. Lesson: decant!

Delicious. Seemed like a pretty big Viognier...almost like it had some Rousanne mixed in. Had a little bitter taste on finish but still very enjoyable. Love Herman Story wines!

Really delicious. Poured immediately after opening. Tannins were refined. This wine had plenty of dark cherries, a little chocolate. Not a "big" knock your socks off cab but thoroughly enjoyable. Could say it was a bit thin but honestly I thought it was just right. I enjoy Sojourn's Spring Mtn cabs very much.

Strong smoky smell when first opened. Decanted for 2 hours. Still a bit smoky on pour but was a very enjoyable wine. Rather meaty with some spices and a bit of chocolate. Fruit was nuanced...dark cherries, plums. This was delicious and I think it will get even better if I have the patience to wait a couple of years or more.

Sadly, this was the last bottle. I've written about almost all of the bottles I purchased of this vintage. It only improved with time and it was already outstanding.

This wine was insanely delicious. Decanted it for about 1/2 hour. Nose was loaded with with violets and maybe raspberries. On the palate this wine was smooth, luscious with violets and another flower or fruit that I couldn't identify. The finish was wonderfully long. This is a gorgeous well-crafted pinot noir. I have 1 more bottle which maybe I won't share with my husband...Just kidding, sort of.

Dang, how stupid could I be? I have a raging cold, no taste buds functioning and opened this tonight. Decanted for about an hour. I have to trust my husband who says it's delicious...somewhat Burgundian yet enough fruit to make it very interesting and enjoyable. I won't rate it cuz I quit after a few swallows...Why waste good wine on a bad palate?

Decanted for about 1 hour. Nose of mushrooms, cola and spices. Quite a spicy pn with some fruit. Not very complex but enjoyable. Will save my other bottle for at least a couple of years. Personal preference: a bit less spice and smoother fruitier wine.

Simply beautiful. Nose of flowers and cherry. Very smooth and lovely cherries (not overbearing) and a little earth. I wish I'd bought more. This was one of the most enjoyable pinot noirs I've had in quite a while.

Delicious. In my experience, Sojourn never disappoints. This was an easy to drink, fruity instead of woodsy/earthy pinot. Not at all jammy, just an absolutely lovely wine to enjoy on the deck. We planned to have it with dinner.Forget that, it was gone before dinner was even started.

Neither my husband nor I particularly cared for this wine. Color a deep ruby. There was some spice and earth and a little (very little) fruit/sweet on nose. I decanted this for about 1/2 hour. We kept waiting for this to open up, for something to happen....Nope, nothing. This PN presented hardly anything pleasant as we tasted it throughout the evening. There in fact was a rather unpleasant, almost bitter, taste with each sip that never subsided. Perhaps it was just this bottle. I have several more and sure hope they improve with more cellaring.

I'm so partial to Sojourn Pinot Noirs...They interact with my palate beautifully. I opened this wine about an hour before pouring and kept the bottle cool with an cold collar. Drank over about 2 hours and the wine did not disappoint. Not terribly complex, a little young but smooth and very Sojourn.

Delicious with salmon. Just as good as first bottle. I decanted it shortly before pouring but don't think the wine benefited from this. Actually when having company, it's difficult to focus on the attributes of a wine. But everyone loved this.

Decanted for about an hour after opening. My husband love this pinot, saying that it was bursting with cherries. Since I'm the one writing the note, I gotta say that any cherries on my palate were waay in the background. I found this wine to be rather nondescript with a muted nose of some earth. Palate was beautifully smooth but little fruit or spice that I could taste and with an unremarkable finish. Perhaps my taste buds were taking a vacation. Will try the next bottle in a year or so.

Decanted for about a hour. BIG syrah. Lots of alcohol on nose even after decant. Probably should have waited on this wine but still it was delicious. First taste was raspberries then plums with a finish of licorice. Yummy. Alcohol content awfully high which is one of the reasons I opened it now. I don't have enough experience to know if the fruit would stand up to such a high alc. content over time.
