Blind tasting for my guests. Surprisingly clear hue for a five years old wine. Nose quite closed with roasted cereals (unspecific). Mouth expressive, straight mineral and spicy. A sharp style with an unperceptible oak. Need two more years.

Pnp. Deep hue with brown borders. Nice juicy and fruity nose, grainy and dusty. Mouth different dark and bitter, with licorice ,tar and strong vegetal notes as bramble bush bitter. tannins enhance that masculine structure. A complex and rustic that remind me the Polyvidone iodin solution. Still a good wine supposed at his peak but not my taste. Piemond are not my favourite wine. Let's give a second chance on Angus stew...

Blind tasting. Dark hue. Animal and black berries juice. Mouth elegant mineral with superb grainy tannins. Berries on the palate are dry and bit dessicated, then comes the shy animal notes with ash and dust. No tertiary flavours. A mature wine that has passed his muscular life and show now his fantastic structure. Only for advanced tasters.

Blind tasting for my guests. Pale hue. Nose of a classic chardonnay from Jura, pure, not oxydised, with reduction notes. Mouth straight, salty, and simple with light bitterness at end palate. A mineral style, shy a pure. Exceptional terroir. Impressive for French taster that enhance our Europeen feeling.

Pnp. Dark hue. Seducing nose of ripe blackberries, underwood. Mouth straight, mineral, quite dry, with strong tobacco , pencil ink, ash, old sap. A masculin, dry mature red. Defenetly complex and still alive. Needs a duck "confit" (fried and stored in its fat) .

Retasted after days under argon gaz. White flowers are more shy, but roasted cereals and white spices are prominent. Still balance and fashionable. A wine for appertising in an Ambassy reception. Perfect calibrator for CT90.

Blind tasting for my guest. Nose shy of usual lemon, aluminium or silver. Mouth so straight, like a laser, souvereign acidity, cruched granit stone. A rustling river from a melting mountain glacier. Monolitic. Monodimensionnal. Good depth. Young lad wine. Very good. Need advanced tasters.

Blind tasting for my guest. Superb orange mature hue. Nose logically oxydised, lemony, crusched rhubarb, with full exotic and iodin flavours, as a reisling VT. Mouth straight, mineral, lively, franc quinine bitterness, reducted roots, finshing on shy brown honey notes. A complex and mature wine, witch balance is more on bitter. Clearly printed by a poor vintage. An old experienced wine who has still plenty to show even if his best window has passed.

Nice nose of sping flowers withjasmin boxwood and freshly cutted grass. Mouth is oily, spicy and balance. Medium lenght but some finess here, given by the cellaring. At his peak. Bought in Sud Tyrol for twenty two euros. A blend of chardonnay, sauvignon, pinot blanc and gewurztraminer. Sauvignon and pinot blanc are obvious for me.

Pnp. Light Hue. Nose expressive of young cherries freshly crushed with its stone. Mouth simple, fresh, extracted and ripe. Like a sweat for kids. No tannins here, pure fruit, hiding at his best his vegetal notes. Perhaps in a new Zealand style. More technical, than cultural. Rating is difficult. let's give a 90 for the new world and 88 for Europe. Any reaction dude ?

Pnp. Served at 10°C. Bright clear hue with green borders. Shy nose of fresh cutted bush. Quite difficult for a blind tasting to guess the grape type, could be a sauv' at this stage. The mouth is more helping, first palate is oily with a kind of light fizzy wich add substance, nice light juice of orange and light rhubarb ending on an unperceptible butane stove touch. Globally the wine is light, still with matter, and mostly with balance and high drinkability. Good Q/P, for twelve euros in Biscarosse/France.

Third time tasted. Decanted one week under argon gaz : very dark hue for a gamay. Nose with very ripe cherries, blueberries, almost like a carignan. Mouth showing intensively a deep juice of blackcurrent, with light spices light tannins and a mineral grainy background. At his best for me. A gamay with a lot of finesse and depth. One of the best ever ? I should not say that.
D'Artagnan is right there's some bottle variation.

Pnp and followed days while covered under argon gaz. The structure is predominant even in the "rich" 2015 vintage : souvereign acidity, coffea bitterness, chalk powder and light indian spices. Long after taste.
Ganevat's Montceau is more refined, less reducted, showing spring fruits. Neverless it is excellent, young, and the style is exactly what you expect from a Jura Chardonnay "ouillé". Almost a savagnin for me.

Pnp. Quite different from the previous vieilles vignes: this 2015 is so dark with concentrated fruits, very ripe and still juicy. No tannins here, the structure is made with a good acidity and a and big core of red and black colors, pencil and cherry stone. Nice expression of gamay, in between carignan and pinot ! Of course without any oak, that's the old world LA's surfers !

Pnp. That's an orange wine, indeed. Nose of radish, white beer, yeast, rhubarb and old blue ink. mouth explosive, full and reducted; high acidity, bitterness of orange peal, orange blossom extract, rhubarb crunch, and late palate on leather. Very well made, only for natural wine tasters.

Blind tasting. Served at 15°C in summer. Nose quite discreet, old flesh, wet ground, dried petals, humus. Mouth explosive, complex and refined for me: indeed some reduction notes, radish but mostly full of red berries fresh juice, smoked tea, smoked ham, wet and rainy dust. Needs perhap an hour of decanting. Difficult to evaluate the potential, so exptionnal now. Be aware that some tasters did not agree with me, reduction and graveyard style could be perturbating. One of the best natural wine i've tasted.

Pnp, on my own. Nice but shy nose of cherrie juice, light white wood glue behind. Mouth fresh, light, with personnality, not oaked, quite fruity, with perfectible balance. Not so fine for me. Light residual green vegetal at the end, yet though in a favourable vintage. It is still a pinot made in altitude, more in a german ground than italian. Still to try, to stay burgundy lover.

From memory. Light hue. Flavours a bit closed in a well balance structure. Simple and easy to drink even if there's a fealing of excess youthness. Needs time (without to much hope) or an other vintage to try. Still the style is remarquable. An estate to follow.

Pnp. Nose delicate of orchid, hay and lemon juice. Perhaps a hint of pastry behind. Mouth salty, thick, mineral, with a nice juicy center. Already balanced. A good expression ans simple of this vintage, more straight than 2016. Let's see in an hour our two how it evolves. a blend of different mercurey parcels.

Blind tasting for my gests. Pnp, hue very clear for a five years old wine. Nose closed. Mouth powerfull, super sharp (almost green), with lime, cutted green grass, pebble stones, an then a but nutty, ending with a hint of new oak (shy). Not so expensive for a Breze, respectfully of the terroir, but not the most refined i've tasted.

Pnp, nose unbearable, a red from supermarket, unspecific and rustic. Mouth much more unteresting with a nice core of fruit, strong tannins for a gamay, good acidity and an uncontroled bitterness. Hazardous wine, good in 2017, low in 2016. Made by random, not the best expression of gamay, (close to a bad syrrah).Let say is it not ready yet, indeed it is possible. Should give a second chance in five years for ones who gives room to anything.

Pnp and retasted the next day. Fresh and vivid, dominated by strong sauvignon flavours: catpiss, burned plastic, lime, wet british garden, green grass. Very well structured. No oak fealing. Technically well made, an expressive style, needs time or an other winemaker aiming for finess. Hope a south african lobster with spicy sauce. Twenty euros in nothern France.
Chatter's note with "asparagus" is very acurate.

Retasted after two weeks, locked by argon gaz. With no surprise the shy exotics have disapeared, but the structure and the flavours of hay , grass, and lemon are still, and they keep the balance. Excellent in a relatively rich vintage. Hope to taste the 2017 soon, for expertise of course. Because for this next one I expect a serious sharpness.

Pnp. Nice hue, perhaps a kind of light orange. Superb nose of roasted cereals, warm dry hay, white flowers of bushes in spring. Mouth substancial with those nice aromas carried with a nice amount of alcohol, light, enough acidity and light bitterness. It keeps a mineral style. Balance not so bad for a hot region. It is mostly the compexity of the flavours that are nicely surprising.

Blind tasting after red flight. Superb autumn leaf hue . Nose gently oxydised with sweat flavours of rhubarb jam, baked apples, orange jam, orange juice. Blind tasting. Pale hue. Nose expressive; iodin, oysters, ripe litchees, shy white pineapple. Mouth aromatic; cruched almonds, hay, gooseberry, colors quite pale, mostly metallic but the struture is very well built with a souvereign balance, a thick matter. Very mineral, a bit closed for me. Second time tasted. Is discretion seems distinction ? No rate, perhaps I'm not experimented enough. Or not sensitive enough. Here some blind tasters are.

Exploring french whites with seafood in Oleron island: Blind tasting for my guests. Decanted one hour. The nose is seducing, masculin, with its animal flavours accompagnied with smoke and super ripe big cherry juice (bigarreau type we have un provence in June).
Obvious difference beetween the expression of the nose and the mouth: palate is strict, the fruits are closed, but with a strong structure: acidity, nice tannins, and good bitterness. Some tasters found that it's a bit edgy. Not my opinion, i'm sure it is a transitional period. Will see in five years...
