Drnk with French Onion Soup, a great accompaniment. Concentrated dark fruit and a nice long finish.

Drank with a deliciously cooked rack of lamb. Ruby-colored and even a little brick colored. Smoky berry nose. Nicely balanced, creamy cherry and raspberry with a smoky quality. Very tasty beverage... especially with an expertly cooked rack of lamb.

My type of wine! Get some rose petal on the nose. Nice deep dark cherry on the mouth. Really like this wine.

Drank initially with a meal and didn't notice the flaws. After dinner tasted and noted the aromatic, black cherry and leather nose. Smells a little hot. Black cherry and spice. Agreed that it is hot on the end. Initially after opening with dinner I gave it a 90 but after dinner tasted and downgraded.

Tropical! Notes of lychee, coconut, and hazelnut. Nice long, smooth finish. 100% new French Oak is pretty evident in the vanilla creaminess of the finish.

Apparently I can't detect TCA because wine experts at the table said this wine was corked. For me, I thought it wasn't bad. Oh well, lot's to learn.

Maybe a little out of balance with not much acid or tannins but very jammy, fruity and smooth. Actually went well with our roast.

Julia's Vineyard has become my favorite PN offering from Foxen. Seemed a bit flat at first but opened up pretty quickly. Tasted next to the '05 which was really tightly wound in comparison.

Felt it has peaked but could have been improper cellaring.

Predominantly Merlot (63%) with remainder Cab. Tasted next to the '06 Foxen Merlot. This Bordeaux blend has always been a favorite of mine from Foxen. The nose exhibits blueberry and blackberry and a hint of dried herbs. On the mouth it is balanced and smooth with a medium-long finish. It's nice now but could use some proper cellar time.

Faded ruby red in color with edges of brick. Elegant nose of flowers, leather, and a hint of strawberry. The palate was soft and light weight with mellow flavors of dust and tart red berries.

A big enough pinot to match well with steak. Well-balanced with nice red fruit. Really enjoyed it on a special occasion.

I enjoyed this Syrah, probably because it did not taste like a Syrah but more like a Cab. A lot of new oak that I like but others at the table weren't as impressed.

Just found this empty bottle on a book shelf from years ago. I don't remember the wine but I do remember enjoying it out of styrofoam cups with my future wife and good friend while at the beach eating In n' Out burgers.

Nice nose of honeysuckle and melon. A bit overwhelming on the palate for my taste. Almost syrupy texture with apricot and honey but a little too much noticeable alcohol.

Opened, not decanted. Got a lot of strawberry and hint of spice on the nose. Nicely balanced wine really coats the mouth nicely. Good fruit and a little spice. This wine accompanied Slow-Braised Short Ribs of Beef at Sly's. A wonderful combination! The acidity of the wine cut through the richness of the ribs and then you were hit with the well-balanced fruit which added new, beautiful flavor profiles to both the food and wine. I've got another bottle and thought it might go nicely with a Duck dish with a jammy sauce.
