Think this was an off bottle. One-dimensional and a little harsh.

Didn’t love this tonight - a lot more tart than toasty.

This will probably be better in a few years as the tannins fade a little and things resolve but it is really good now. A lot of depth, sage, some tobacco, cherries, maybe a little eucalyptus. Classic CdP flavors.

Good. Not multi dimensional, seems like some time should help. A little sage, a little tart, red fruit.

Enjoyable, just a little syrupy and heavy on the caramel for my taste. Could use a little more acidity.

Old and young at the same time. A little oxidized - there was mold under the cork - but that was not all bad. Rich color, sweet and savory, very fun.

Consistent with last note - wish I had let it sit for another year or two.

Seems like a different wine than some of the prior notes. Not really any brett. Some herbaceousness, and a little strong, pine, sage, mint, but also decent fruit to balance it. Nothing fancy, but not bad. Enjoyable on a weeknight.

The last botttle must have been an aberration because this was good. Rich and thick but not over-extracted. Balanced, a little gamy, a little cola.

Agree with Connecticut Wino’s note from 2 days before this - it’s ripe, but that’s a good thing. Drink it now.

Over several days never opened up, never showed much depth. Disappointing. Whether that reflects the wine or just is youth, I don’t know.

My second of three bottles of this - and I wish it was the last. This bottle is consistent with prior notes (including mine) that flag an unpleasant spritz, stewed character, and bitter finish.

This was OK. A little cab franc floweryness. Also tannic - might be nice of some of that mellowed. Not a lot of depth. Drinkable.
Red
Thumbs up. Maybe better in a few years, some fairly youthful tannins. But right now this is a nice deep structured wine, hints of cinnamon and other spices, round red fruit, decent finish.
Red
I’m more positive on this than prior tasters - and I note more than a year later. It is jammy and a little tannic - if anything the jam is too strong. A little earthy and rustic. Don’t feel like this is screaming its origins, or incredibly interesting, but for around $19 its decent.

This definitely should have a few more years, kind of closed, but it is getting pretty interesting with a little air. Edgy but not overwhelming tannins, just a little sweetness, and just hints of tar and earth. Good food wine. Look forward to seeing what the next bottle does in a few years.
Red
Ripe for the drinking. Might have a few more years but in my unexpert opinion I don’t think it will get better. CellarTracker says I had 2 bottles of this but could only find one; pretty sure I remember drinking a few years ago and thought it was not very good. Now it is a little sweet and the plum and cherry fruit is there but balanced with acid and tannin and secondary earthy notes.

So sad, last bottle. But it was time. In fact it was probably time a year or two ago but a very nice way to ring in the new year. An elegant wine, still a little earthy and a little flowery, fruit pretty muted at this stage, tannins had held up and stood up to the pizza I will admit to eating with it.

It was very drinkable, gentle acidity, not too tannic, seemed just a tad oaky, not too complex. No noticeable flaws, enjoyed drinking it, but not as taken with it as most of the prior notes I see.

Good, not great, but none of the fizziness that marred the last bottle. Pretty fruity, a little bit of a bitter edge I could do without, a little gamy, mouth-filling.

This is kind of singing tonight. Very interesting evolution over just a year and a half. If I had another bottle I would drink it soon, but sadly I don’t. Fruity with very soft tannins. A little floral. Don’t know how to describe it better than that, but if you like an unassuming, relatively light, very quaffable drink, you will like this. Definitely good QPR at around $17-18. I will give Garagiste props for this one.

Don’t have much to add to what prior tasters said. A little toasty, not very, tart but balanced. Not complex but nice.

Definitely like better than I did two years ago based on my note from that time. Really hits you with the drinkable part of cab franc flavor, kinda the sweet flowery part not the astringent vegetal thing you can get sometimes. Fairly light, a little tart/sour, moderate tannins holding up their end of the bargain. One of those wines that feels like it could go a few more years but in fact I think it may be at a peak right now. I’ll call this decent QPR.

This is ok. Although I feel my last note was a bit too effusive. It would be good QPR maybe around $20, but I think I paid twice that. Got caught up in the garagiste hype. Fairly light but does have classic cdp flavors and is very drinkable. But not much weight or depth.

More positive about this than prior notes but still not looking to buy again. Soft cherries and cola, actually pretty tannic. A little thin. Probably better to hold but this was my last bottle.

Serviceable, not terrible, not great. A little chalky, definitely needed some time in the glass, peppery, a little bit of the classic southern Rhône kirsch/earthy flavors, but lighter. Consistent with what I’ve had from this producer in the past.

Good, but probably opened too young(although fruity and not too tannic) but even so question whether it was worth the price. Definitely a little depth, olives dark fruit, that sort of thing. Bottom line is that this was good, but I’m glad I didn’t stock up.

Consistent with last note (which was over a year ago!) - good QPR, nice fresh drinkable Beaujolais.

Pleasant surprise. I’d say ready to drink and comes off as a fairly classic CdP right out of the gate. I’ve found some of the royer wines pretty vanilla but this was not, nice gaminess, Cherry cola, a little barnyard, that sort of thing. Good QPR.

Thick and chewy, probably not the best choice for a hot summer night. Agree with prior taster - it’s a rich crowd pleaser, even if not a lot of complexity. If I tell you it’s Cab and Zin and is pretty thick stuff, but balanced (I appreciated that the alcohol level wasn’t haywire) you know what you need to know. This style really isn’t my thing - but this is certainly a solid wine.

Not sure I recognize my last note on this wine from seven months ago. Now it is just kind of a down the boulevard Beaujolais, the whole sticky pomegranate thing not really in evidence. So let’s call it a decent QPR, very drinkable, and leave it at that.

To reiterate my comment from seven months ago, and to echo other tasters, this is a great QPR. It’s young, its fresh, its floral, a little lemon underneath, not like the unctuous sophistication of an expensive Chenin, but that’s not the point. And although the first bottle was great in January, can’t imagine a better summer everyday drinker.

Too new world for me. I want a cab franc that tastes like a cab franc - don’t cover up all the green pepper if you know what I mean. Don’t need all that oak - just makes me suspicious as to what is being covered up. So - not terrible or unenjoyable, but . . . . I’ll put it like this: after the first bottle, when the party was at the point when we needed another, I chose my next bottle of this because people were drinking it and I knew this is one I wouldn’t regret not having on the next trip to the cellar.

Good for the price, nice with sausage pasta. Not getting the tannins of the last note, or at least not as strong. Nice fruit, tobacco, chocolate, which makes our sound heavy which it isn’t. Nice everyday drinker

This is pretty good, no too over the top or hot the way some Zin can be, but not sure I think it quite a $30+ bottle. Tart and acidic and a little fruity, nice to drink for sure - but fairly one-dimensional, acids and tannins more dominant than one might like. Even at a lower price point I don’t think I would go out of my way to buy again.

Generally a fan of the winery, but not this wine. Has a sour bitter finish, fairly dry, if you’re going to drink it definitely have it with food.

Solid southern Rhone - more solid than a lot of wines that get to say CdP on the label, in fact. Drinking well now, surprisingly fruity but layered, nice herbs underneath, maybe a hint of eucalyptus. Medium body. I'm no judge of age-worthiness but personally don't see a reason why I would hold on remaining bottles.
