Too many bottles for a proper note, but my Red WOTN, delicious

Drank at Farm & Fisherman with Kristie. Bordeaux's just aren't my thing, but this was very enjoyable.
Great nose of fruits, well integrated oak and fine tannins, glad I have a few more bottles

2nd red of OTBN - first time I've drank a screw cap of this wine:
- tasted a lot younger than the previous cork closure bottles I've had. Alot of bright fruits but missing the earth and tobacco...

OTBN - forgot my notes but for me this was the red of the night (it outclassed the dead arm which was frankly a little disappointing...)
plenty of earth, leather and dark fruits. Delicious.

Darker and richer pinot than is my preferred style, but altogether delicious. Dark fruits, on the nose and pallet, never felt hot despite the high alcohol. overall well balanced and sumptious mouthfeel. Extremely enjoyable, excellent

Early doors on a Thanksgiving featuring a lot of wines so no proper tasting note...

Pretty decent but not great. For me the No.2 Champagne of the evening just ahead of the Pommery but a ways behind the 2nd Bottle which I have no idea what it was.

Lacked the brioche that I love in the Champagnes that float my boat

drank with Dan with a slap up BBQ

too late after the event for real note .

Terrifically enjoyable

I'm a pinot guy but really enjoyed this cali cab

dark brick red. Nose of cedar, tobacco & Cassis

really nicely balanced and not overly extracted.
A decent food wine plenty of juice but enough acidity and nicely resoled tanins

Wish I'd bought more

Not a proper note as too far hence....

Drank at another Sunday dinner at Farm & Fisherman

Drinking well nice balance of fruit & minerality - my style of Burg, unlike the Nuit St Georges from the prior week

Drank as accompaniment to another excellent dinner at the Farm & Fisherman.

Forgotten how good the Freeman's are - must get more

Brick red color.

black cherry and bramble fruits on the nose with some forest floor

The same fruits in the mouth with some spice and earth notes

nicely balanced acidity, silky mouthfeel and a solid medium length finish

Drank at F&F

A much heavier style pinot than the latest offerings from PH

Very dark crimson color

Some heat, dark fruits, velvety mouthfeel & long finish

Overall a nicely balanced drop....However, more in the style of a typical RR pinot than the ethereal lightness of the current Wiley release that I crave right now
White - Sweet/Dessert

A bit odd.

Not cloying or overly suite (a good thing in my book)

but a tang at the finish we I can't put my finger on (less good)...

unpleasant - opened at Farm & Fisherman with Kristie

Ran back home to grab a bottle of Skewis....

Nose of dare I say it sh&*

used a dash the next day to make a reduced rhubarb sauce which was ok

well balanced acidity and lush berry fruits

Pale yellow

Vanilla & lemon on the nose

(good skills)

well past its best, but still just about drinkable

Straw color, some sort of funk on the nose that carried through on the pallette.

still nice mouth feel, practically no finish

More interesting than enjoyable

drank at Paul & Lydies

Popped and poured (no decant or aerator)

Didn't wow at first, like the last time we drank, but with time and air really opened up. Delicious

Needs air to really experience it at its best
White - Off-dry

Opened for Kristie's dad who prefers the sweeter wines

Bargain buy from Last bottle

This is still a little too sweet for me at present - I'm interested to see how it evolves over the next few years Seems to have the balance of minerality and acid to be a keeper.

That been said still very drinkable right now:

Greenish straw color.
Notes of pear, lemon and spice.

Butterscotch, citrus almost waxy mouth feel

The red for our Easter dinner with Kristie's folks at farm and fisherman

Great now, but deserves more time in the cellar, will leave for a few years...

Ruby color.
Cherry & blackcurrent on the nose, notes of vanilla and bracken.

velvet mouth feel.

Summer fruits with a little more acidic bite of cranberry

Hints of tobacco and Cocao

balanced acidity and subtle oak - a great partner for the ham and pork belly and lamb shoulder mains we had.

Easter Sunday dinner with Kristie's folks at the Farm & Fisherman

Love this wine - this is our Go to Chard that really gives the Burgs a run for their money

Straw gold color, delicious citrus nose with maybe a hint of caramel.
lovely subtle oak, melon and summer fruits, notes of toffee/butterscotch on the finish.
lush mouth feel

Great stuff

Drank with Dan Kim & Kristie @ Bibou

Opened and decanted 3-4 hours before dinner

This really isn't ready for prime time needs a few more years to resolve.

However, if I'm honest I'm never going to love this as much as a Burg....(WOTN went to a 2003 Burg...)

dark fruits on the nose, leather, and tobacco
Luscious mouth feel but still very tannic

Serrious stuff with plenty of potential, looking forward to revisiting in about 5 years time...
Red - Fortified

Bit OTT for in weight and sweetness for my tastes but still enjoyable.

Would partner well with a heavier chocolate dessert

Drank at dinner with Kristie at Farm and Fisherman

We both loved this wine - I think the best yet from Phillips Hill (or at least the one that grabbed me the most...)

I love these lighter cooler climate pinots.

light ruby color: Pepper, spices & cherry on the nose
cherry and maybe vanilla on the palate.

White - Sweet/Dessert

Plenty of fruit on the nose, honeysuckle, a little sweet for my tastes but not cloying, great bang for buck from PLCB

Drank as first red of the night with Dan, Kim & Kristie at Russet

Popped and poured (through aerator)

Solid "food wine" - nicely balanced acidity & tanins

Good nose of summer fruit and spice

A fairly hefty drop that'd go well with a steak.

Nice balance of fruit and tannin, enjoyable but not stellar.

Suspect only came across as being reserved in comparison to the OTT Klarendon Hills Kangarilla
