Seems like a curiously inconsistent vintage for Pichon. This one did not make the grade. Still a young color, soft on the palate. a short tobacco finish. An aging Bordeaux, but not exciting in any way.

    8/21/10, 10:23 AM - I agree that Hansel's Chardonnays have too much oak. Mr. Hansel wants to make wine that tastes like Bourgogne but then uses too much new oak, covering up fruit and mineral aspects of the wine.
