Red
Super pretty. Floral, minty aromatics, pillow soft tannins. Nicely balanced.
White
Loved this. No formal notes. Incredibly fragrant, beautiful minerality, lip smacking acidity. The Gewurz added some super cool spicy gingery density to the aromatics and the mid palate and finish.
Red
Disappointing. Super bretty. All fruit leather and tobacco and not much else. Very linear. Not sure if this will get any better.
Red
Really nice. Super fragrant, red fruited, floral, blood orange peel, earthy, subtle cedar. A little bretty but it's not offensive. Pretty linear on the palate. Lots of fresh acidity from the attack through the finish. Lip smacking wine. In a great spot but definitely has some life left.
White
Really pretty. Definitely better on day 2. I would love to revisit this wine in 2-3 years.

This was way more advanced than I expected. Showing some oxidation.
Red
Fun to taste but that's about it. This style is not for me.
White
Very good. In a great spot.
White
Really fun. Kind of nondescript but super tasty.
Red
So, so good. Has years left but this is in a pretty perfect place. Well made wine.
Red
2013 Andrew Will Sorella Champoux Vineyard Horse Heaven Hills Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Very, very good. Incredibly well made wine. Drinking well now but has a long life ahead.
Red
Really fun to taste. Incredibly fragrant right out of the gate showing old leather, sarsaparilla, roses, anise, blood orange, brett. Texturally soft with a nicely resolved finish. This fell apart after about 12-15 minutes, and started showing wet cigar ash and roasted veggies.

Nice. Definitely get a little smoke but it's buried on the back end.

Fun to try but a bit too green and cidery, lacking identity. No depth or dimension to speak of, really, just an overly assertive attack. Slightly oxidative too.

Very soft and simple. Starting to fade, somehow. Drink up.

No formal notes, really. All from memory. Had this at the end of the night. This was a total surprise, especially given the way the wine was stored and the ullage. Effusive aromatics, showing iron, sassafras, cherry cola, warm pine needles and dusty earth, eucalyptus and smoked meats. Palate matched the aromatics. Soft entry and attack but still thoroughly fresh and zingy. Persistence. Tons of turbidity. My fault on the pour. Thought this would die a quick death but it lasted for an hour plus. Well, until the bottle was consumed. An absolute treat.

Red
Love this wine. Super pretty, straight forward, well made.
White
Really interesting. Nice texture. Has some juicy RS and a bit of peaty smoke on the mid palate and finish.
White
Some seriously offensive VA with a sweet, almost cloying mid palate and finish. This was hard to drink.
Red
Absolutely delicious. Drink up. This isn't getting any better.

2009 Château la Rivière Sauternes Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend (view label images)
Very impressive for the money.
White
Oxidized. Astringent. I don't get it. A $48 bottle on release and it can't age 5 years? Worked perfectly as a Sherry replacement for green soup.
Red
So good. Still plenty of fruit and character after all of these years. Love the secondary flavors and aromatics, showing sarsaparilla, blood orange, rose petals, petrichor, coffee, anise, freshly sharpened pencil, sandalwood, Washington. Complex, balanced, textural, perfectly middle weight, fragrant as all get, flat out beautiful. In a great spot. Maybe has a year or two before it starts to fade but why wait? Drink up if you have it.
Red
Really nice. Showing a little bricking and slightly reductive on opening but that blew off with air. Petrichor, cherries, baking spices, firm acidity, super fragrant. Definitely balanced and light on its feet but starts to show the warmth of the vintage with air. Picks up a little more weight, which was welcomed.
Red
Love this wine. Solid from start to finish. Tart cherries, petrichor, blood orange. Incredibly fragrant, mouthwatering mid palate texture. Fresh and firm. Not as rich as previous iterations of Abbey-Harris but that’s ok. This is all lean muscle. Still fully present and a pleasure to drink. Delish.

Lots of heat, pretty unbalanced. Macerated cherries and kirsch liqueur, some anise. This has some of that Eola-Amity Hills minerality in the background but it's pretty much overwhelmed by the overripe fruit.

Very tired. Stewed plums and blackberries, all bricked out. I couldn't drink it. Down the drain...

Really showing the cool vintage. Pretty astringent on the attack and mid palate. Hard to get past, actually. I'm not sure if this will ever come around. Still fresh and ok to drink.

Day 2 - Astringency mellowed. Really pretty, soft and a bit more floral than last night. Definitely on the savory side. Showing a bit of blood at this point.

Very good for ~30 minutes, showing crushed rock and stone fruit. Completely fell apart shortly thereafter, showing overly mature, oxidative qualities with some serious astringency. Like liquid butterscotch. A mess. Drink up.

Really pretty. This is definitely peaking. Drink up.

Cherries, kirsch liqueur, super medicinal, sulfur, pine pitch, wet oak, moss. Sweet fruit, nice texture. Good but this is not getting any better. Drink up.
Red
Really nice. Drank over 3 days. Lots of brett! Would've guessed old world in a second given the amount of brett. Added some weight on day two and three, which was welcomed. A bit high toned on day one, fairly unforgiving. Definitely more expressive with air. Needs some time.
Red
Insanely good. I opened WAY too early. Thought this would be in a different place but it's pretty much an infant. I can only imagine the longevity with this one.
Red
Very good. I love where this is at. Great freshness, aromatics and texture. Perfumed cranberry, tart cherry, citrus, sandalwood, cedar and cinnamon. I'd say this has another year or two before it starts moving towards black tea, savory.
Red
Showing well.

Day 3: Not sure if this will ever improve. Really hard and rustic, not in a good way. Some baking spices, sandalwood and cherries but overripe plums and cigar ash are lurking in the background. Kind of a mess, unfortunately. I love the 2011s from WA but this might be a lost cause. I'm going to give my other 2 bottles a few more years to see if they shed the somewhat harsh aspects that are currently at the forefront.

Super pretty, well made wine. No formal notes. Loved the precision, creaminess and yeasty, fruit driven aromatics. Incredibly refreshing.
Red
This took a couple of hours to really open up and put on some weight. Pretty wine.

Very good, best on day 3. A little disjointed and fat on day 1 but really came together with air and time. Day 3 is now all flowers, petrichor, crispy apples and pears, ginger, fennel, minerals and acidity. Super aromatic, great length and freshness. Highly recommended.
