Great wine in a great spot. Balanced and absolutely delicious. Fruit is present and pure, mid palate and finish are in harmony. Wish I had more to drink right now.

Delicious wine. The Todd does a great job of making big CA cabs with some complexity and a more approachable weight. Drinking really well right now

Nice wine. Lots of complexity. Fruit is quieting and lots of secondary notes are coming through. Earthy and more elegant for a BF.

Drank too early. Has not integrated very much at all. Fruit has backed off and the tannins are still very much present. Hold for another 3+ years.

Expressive nose full of blackberry. Palate was ripe, but not overly so. Good backbone with little tannin. Really enjoyed this. Ready to go.

One of the best bottles I've had in awhile. Dark color. Dark fruity nose. Blackberry on the palate with a wonderful softness. Finishes strong with a nice mineral note and sweet tannin. Great QPR. Will buy more Foley Merlot. Outstanding.

This was very good... but not as good as the 2007. It needs time to come together, just a touch disjointed. Give it time and it will get even better.

Consistent with other recent tasters... Not over the top by any means. Was dry and tannic and needs more time to integrate and come together. All the components of a great wine are there, but it needs time. 91 now, with more points available in the future. Hold.

Really nice pinot. Light body with great cherry flavor and earthiness on the palate. A great find in Oregon. I am a fan.

Nice CA cab. Dark fruit, chocolate and coffee create a deep wine. Tannins are still there, but are sweet and do not detract from enjoyment. Well made and fun to drink. Will last, but ready to go.

Have to think I had an off night or this bottle was off. It was drinkable, but not up to the Paradigm standard I am accustomed to. Fruit was lacking and did not have any structure.

Drank both bottles the same night. Nose is typical oregon, but with some darker characteristics showing. Dark fruits dominate the palate with a little acid to balance, but not much. I expected more earthiness, but the ripeness of the fruit i think took over. Overall a good wine, but drank more like a CA pinot to me.

Tasted blind. Not a good showing. Too much oak and not enough fruit and acid. Very blah. Perhaps an off bottle?

Always a favorite of mine. The 09 is solid. Typical Pride, fruit, earth, mineral, balance. Nothing is out of balance and is very enjoyable. Ready to drink.

I wanted to hold this longer, but opened it with an 09 Pride Mountain. This is bigger in style... very big. It is a little too big more my preference, but I can appreciate it. Lots of black fruit and a huge structure. Drank with ribeye steaks which helped. I would hold for another few years.

Not my favorite Etude bottle. Expected more based on the price point and their other pinots. This was pretty boring with basic red fruit and little acid. Drinkable, but not up to their standard.

Big pinot. Probably a little too big for my liking right now. It needs to sit to come together as it is fairly disjointed at this time. The makings of a great wine are there, but for now, it's just good. Hold.

Good cab, great QPR. Really like this wine and this producer. Big, rich and very easy to drink (typical 09 napa). The finish was a little short and the wine wasn't super complex, but was a fun wine to drink.

Big pinot. Lots of intense red fruit dominate the palate... Too much for my preference. I enjoyed the same 09 terra de promissio bottle much more. This was not in balance, but was tasty and a crowd pleaser.

First time with a KB. Very enjoyable. I'm usually an Oregon pinot drinker, so this was out of the box for me. Expected it to be overripe and heavy, but was clearly not the case. Fruit was ripe, but fresh. Slight minerality with a long finish. Lots of balance and focus here. Very good wine.

Not very good. A little astringent on the finish. A little hot. Not much good going on here for what this wine should have been.

Drank with an 06 archery estate and both had similar characteristics with the archery being drinkable. Neither were as good as the 2010 Trisateum we drank after.

Different style of napa cabernet that I like. Earth driven, very little fruit and lots of earth, minerals, and leather. Those looking for a juicy wine, look elsewhere. I would drink soon if you want some fruitiness otherwise it will dry up pretty quickly. Solid wine.

Excellent. Rich nose of black fruits and some mineral. Palate is deep and everything is in balance from start to finish. In a great spot now, not sure how it would get any better.

One of the best CA pinot experiences I've had in a while. First time drinking a LWC and was thoroughly impressed. Was very dark and smelled very fruity. But weight was medium (lighter than I expected) and delicious, fresh red fruits shine. Good acidity for balance. Drinking great now. Great QPR. I will get more.

This is really great. Lots of bright, fresh red and black fruit on the palate. Medium weight for CA Cab, good acidity and structure. Still a little tight, but still a joy to drink. Decant for a little if drinking now. Drank with an 09 Pride and preferred this.

Good wine for the price. Nose jumps out of the glass with lots of bright fruit and a touch of earth. Palate is nice with beautiful, rich fruit (more than I expected for Oregon). A little earth underlies but the finish is short and it's still a touch hot. Would be happy to drink again anytime.

This bottle was not as good as the last. Fruit was dark and rich, but muted. Oak is too much. Not sure what happened as the bottle I drank 2 years prior was much better and more lively. Maybe a bad bottle.

Big, rich pinot. Drinking well right out of the bottle. Dense red fruit dominates the palate with a little spice. Good wine, but a too big for my pinot tastes. I actually prefer the ZD base pinot.

Dark, fruit driven wine. Lots of ripe blackberry and blueberry on the nose with a touch of anise. Palate is juicy with dark fruit... Very CA. Mid palate is a touch light but it finishes long with dry tannins that are fairly well integrated. Drinking well now, but has some time left.

Nice, well balanced wine. Decanted for a couple hours prior to drinking. Bright fruit and bright acid with a little earth make for a very enjoyable everyday wine. Goes great with food. I'd suggest holding these for another year at least.

Enjoyable wine. This wine is filled with delicious ripe fruit on the nose and palate. Lots of black fruit dominate the wine with a very silky texture. No hard edges, but I found the wine to be a little one dimensional. If you like a fruity CA cab blend, you will enjoy this. Drink or hold.

Good wine. Nose had some darker fruit than expected, a touch of earth and a touch of alcohol. Palate was juicy with strawberry, really nice. Tannins were still there, but not distracting and the finish was short. It lacked complexity and didn't have the earthy/mushroom/funk that I love in Oregon wines. Reminded me of a CA pinot, not a bad thing, but not what I was expecting. Enjoyable now.

Very nice bottle of pinot. Cherries and ripe strawberries provide a great profile for this young wine. The acid isn't too much but should level out with time. I'm going to be buying more of this because of the solid QPR. Drinking well now.

This gets me excited about CA cabernet. Completely delivered on all levels for me. Nose was beautiful. Wine was in perfect balance with fruit and earth intermingling throughout. Had some mountain characteristics. Not too fat, but not too thin. Long finish. Just a great bottle that I was sad to see go. Really wish I had more.

Opened this 3 hours prior to drinking. I was very impressed. This has gained some weight in the past 12 months and is drinking great. The cherry flavor has filled out and the minerality is still present which is a great counterbalance. Really enjoyed this and would love to get more.
