Great bottle😊 We had the first bottle in January 2014. At that time it was very closed. Now it is open, mature and very forthcoming. Enjoy now and the next 3-4 years.

Incredible good stuff. It is probably peaking over the next 2-3 years. Enjoy it now😊😊

Typically Mongeard. Drinks very well now and will probably do so the next 5 years.

Probably over the hill but still a pleasure to drink. I have one bottle left and I will drink it in three years in order to see the durability of Mongeards Savigny.

Stunning wine. Smooth, buttery with a "fat" body. Drinks well now and probably until 2018.

Finally this wine starts to deliver! The previous bottles I drank all had an aftertaste of oxydation. That is gone now. Soft tanins and really nice and very drinkable. Drinks over at least next 5 years.

Still some soft tanins left. Stable in the nose. A fine glass of wine. Drink within a year or two.

Outstanding! Still a lot of tannins left, but after a few hours it opened up. It will drink well the next 5-8 years.

Young and very promising. Quite rustic and elegant. Let it rest in your cellar for for at least a couple more years. Drink next bottle in 2017.

Very, very nice. It was quite thin when we started drinking it 1 1/2 hours after it was opened and decanted. The tycical smell of stable clearly dominated, indicating age. After 3 hours the wine was really great and pleasant. A lot of underlying flavours came through making it a very pleasant bottle of wine. It is probably around its peak but it will still drink well for 2-5 years. Not bad for a Village....

Great Bordeaux. Still a lot of tannins left, but soft tannins. Enjoy now and the next 5-7 years. Very classic.

Wauuu. Is this the best bottle of Mongeard I ever had? Probably! So smooth and elegant like only a bottle of Bourgogne can be. The tannins have almost left, but they still seem to be sowhere in the background. This wine is perfect the next five years.

Great as always! The wine seems to have softened somewhat over the last year, but it still have years to live. Just enjoy.

We had the last bottle 2 1/2 years ago (see note). Oh boy has this wine changed. It is a true pleasure now. A real bourgogne with a pleasant smell of stable. It is ready to drink and will probably drink well the next 3 years. Just enjoy.

We had the last bottle two years ago, and it was not very forthcoming. Now it is a completely different wine. It is very rustic without much complexity. It will without doubt improve over the next few years and will probably drink well the next ten years.

Great glass of wine. We opened and decanted it half an hour before we drank it. Few tannins left. Almonds and cherries dominated the wine. It is close to the peak and will probably drink well the next 2-3 years.

Over the last two years we have had 6 bottles of this wine and I have not been satisfied with it, as it has seemed somewhat "thin". I have always decanted it but not this time. I opened it one hour prior to drinking. Now it works!!!
All tanninis are basicly gone. Great smell of stable and it is just a great bottle of smooth Bourgogne ready to drink. It will probably be on top for the next two years.

It has lost some of the fruit over the last couple of years. Still soft tannins left and the wine can easily live another five years. Stable in the nose. The wine improved over time while open. We started drinking it after 1 hour without decanting. Wonderful glas of pinot.

Nice young Brunello. Lots of cherry and cherrystone, but still way too young. Stay away for the next 3-4 years.

Wonderfull glas of wine. Light and spicy and even with a smell of stable despite its young nature. Open and decant about 1-2 hours before you drink it. It reminds me of Mongeard Mugneret, Savigny Les Beaune from 2004.

We had the last bottle one year ago. Is has really matured and was nice, smooth and forthcoming shortly after it was opened. We drank it over five hours and it did not change a lot. The tannins are quite soft and pleasant. The wine is soft and will probably be very nice for the next 5-7 years without a problem. You will love it.

We had the first sip shortly after it was opened. It was very closed and unapproachable. We drank it over the next 3 hours and it changed dramatically from being closed to a wonderfull young Barolo. In the nose we had cherry, cherry stones and green apple. It will drink well at least for another 5-8 years.

We have been looking forward to taste this wine for almost five years. It was decanted one hour prior to drinking and we drank it over the next two hours. It was about 17 degrees when we had the first taste. To start with it was quite disappointing and thin. Absolutely not a fullbodiet wine. We cooled it down to 14-15 degrees and it gradually changed and a lot of very nice flavours occoured. The last drops were wonderfull. It is a very drinkable and light wine with very few and balanced tannins. It will drink well the next 5 years.

Despite being opened and decanted two hours prior to drinking it was not a welcoming wine at all. It was quite dark and closed with a sour taste. I belive it has to stay in the cellar at least until 2016.

After we opened the wine it seemed somewhat "flat" in the taste. We served it cool as we always do with our Bourgognes, but it did not open up before it passed 20-22 degrees. The wine has almost no tanins left and is probably peaking now. It is very gentle. It is no way near the 2002 vintage which has a lot more power, but is a very nice and pleasant glass of wine. Drink now or the next 2-3 years.

It has been almost exactly one year since we had one of these bottles. We opened it and started drinking it half an hour later, after it was cooled down to about 13-14 degrees, which is deliberately too cold. It was sour on the "backtaste" like the previous bottle. After an hour the sourness was gone and it was like the one a year ago a great bottle of Bourgogne. I still think it has great potential for the next 5-10 years, maybe even longer, but if you can't wait, just go ahead.....

Like the last bottle, the wine has an aftertaste of oxydation, although it is not oxydated. It is not unpleasant, but it is disturbing the impression of quite a nice glass of wine. It will drink well the nest 3-5 years.
