I found this to be a delightful little sparkling. Inoffensive, in the best sense - which is that flavors, though very, very muted, are balanced; no discrete patterns or punch, but unlike some others, I did find this wine to have some character, and a great value accordingly. Lemon and green apple, hint of bready yeast, not much more, but at $8, it's enough. Very pleasant and light.

One of the prettiest wines I've ever tasted. Had the benefit of having this wine as a remnant bottle from my wife's work, so it has been opened for several hours. Massive perfume - but something of dainty flowers, a different kind of florality than I've yet had - suggestions of fresh, crushed violets? Excellent balance, with flavors of cherry skins and again floral, pleasant bitterness taking this on a long, long swallow.

Awful. Overloaded with an obvious attempt to "global." Won't bother with more descriptors.

Tremendously balanced wine, layered with complexity over the couple of hours of our German meal (kassler, leberkäse, sauerkraut, etc.). Immediate pétillant impression (impression only, from a restrained but cleansing acidity; balanced, I would say perfectly balanced, with a fine, mute, residual sweetness). Layers of minerality balanced by crisp and refreshing fruit - the impression I keep getting is the crispest red apple - in the taste and mouthfeel. An excellent value, as well.

Wonderful chardonnay, and there's no need to add "for the price," which is very reasonable. A very clear expression of the Maconnais fruit, pleasantly cleansing acid up front immediately enveloped in a voluptuous, pearlescent, round mouthfeel. Redolent with flowers and soft, aromatic fruits - citrus, melon - and stands long and balanced with a firm, mineral, closing edge. A really nice wine. They really took care to get out of the way, and let this grape, and its origin, speak. Will drink warmer throughout the next couple of hours; sorry to only have the one this evening.

Cheese, barnyard, animal fat. Morphing into leather and berry underneath, with time. Light palate up front, easy acid and balanced, soft tannins, esp. with time after opening. Will have to give this a day and try again, but pleasing transformation over a couple of hours. Nice with Manchego.

Faint nose of black fruits that opened well after some time; at open, jarringly bracing acid and tannin, imbalanced discrete and harsh flavors, way too young (as expected - with lamb tonight, and CDP sitting there, well...). Not sure if it will ever come to balance, but with several for laying down, will try one a year. Interesting find, given the low price point, but may be a "get what you pay for."

Must add my trigger-happiness led me to disparage a wine that deserves time - after a mere hour, lovely, lush Grenache character comes out, balance comes together, an excellent drinker...with perhaps much more to promise, over time. Will gives this one its due.

Immediate whiff of pleasant red fruit, some bright florality; soft mouthfeel, good length, simple layering. The more it sat, however, the less I wanted it - its overwrought, hyperextracted character dominated whatever pinot character existed, and I would agree with its characterization as a fruit bomb. With others coming in at this price range hitting closer to a true pinot home, for me, won't be revisiting, even as a quaffer.

Almost no nose, but what's there is softly floral, small amount of earth and mushroom. A decent attack of bright red fruit, very little length, and unbalanced heat at close. Tannins approaching nil, to be expected. Still, balance improved after a day, surprisingly. For $5.99, no complaints - it is what it is.
