This is probably the best California Cabernet I've had in 6+ months.

Elegent and silky, with well integrated tannins and juicy acidity that keeps you coming back for the next sip.

2/14/21, 3:42 PM - It was amazing now, I think it should remain at peak for 2-3 years

Terrific, full bodied, modern style. Would buy again

2/10/21, 5:38 PM - I agree, Suckling tends to inflate scores by at least 3 points... but this was super fun to drink. Only 2 or 3 stores in BC have this left.

Creamy, silky, good mouth feel, well balanced and ripe but not overdone. Some nice savory stalky elements

The 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Domaine Saint Préfert is a beautiful showing. It begins with aromas of raspberries and plums which come together with spices, iron, wild herbs and lavender nuances all coming together in the glass. This medium-bodied red is well balanced and beautifully structured around fine tannins. It continues to impress with its remarkable poise, as ripe red berries are underlined by a lovely touch of acidity keeping it fresh and inviting through the finish. A wonderful job from Isabel Ferrando, which should thrive in the cellar for many years to come. (Best 2020-3032)

8/21/17, 10:46 AM - I'm sure it'll last another 5-10 years, but will it get better? I don't have enough experience with the John Riddoch wines to know how they evolve over time. In general, I'd rather drink too early than too late.

A stunner! Bought on release and stored in cellar since 2007 (but still widely available for puchase for $70). Modern, ripe with notes of charcoal, earth, and dark fruits like cassis. Great finish.

7/11/13, 3:36 PM - No doubt it's very modern in style, but I don't think I'd confuse it with a blockbuster Napa cab...

Definitely can go for another 10+ years, just depends where on the maturity scale you like your wines. Personally, I like both ends of the spectrum - I recently polished off Lafite's 2nd wine from 1983 and it was terrific as well (currently about $200/bottle).
