Best Barber I have ever had. Long long finish. Perfectly balanced. Mix of red and dark fruit with structured tannins and just a hint of leather. Goes on forever.

Love Barberas but this is very average. Not much identity. Somewhat fruit-penic for a barbera.

Had been turned off Chianti for a while but this brought me back. Typical Chianti style. Smooth with great mouthfeel. Red fruit with hint of leather. Good acidity.

This is my QPR wine of the year for the drinking year 2011. Superbly balanced. Bold yet complex with perfect tannins. Pepper, dark and red fruit, and just a hint of oak.

Agree with Bigsy's description.

Structured and complex for syrah. Not heavy on the fruit which I like. Well balanced tannins. Love this wine.

Typical burgundy if there is such a thing. Heavy cranberry and raspberry. Too much fruit for me.

True provincial style. Herby mineral character with light fruit.

Opened a bottle for our anniversary dinner. Decanted and breathed for about 30 minutes. Smooth as silk. Tobacco, cherry, and hints of spice dominate the palate. Well balanced. Paired superbly with savory foie gras and beef tenderloin. Paired on slightly less well with my wife's spicy gnocci bolognese.

Decent but not expressive.

I live for Sancerre but was unimpressed with this wine. I am ok with light citrus notes but there needs to be a complex backbone or even a hint of oakiness which this had neither.

Overall unimpressive. Actually made me long for at least some oakiness. Best described as a savignon blanc without citrus. Flat.

Forward tannins are balanced nicely by berry fruit. The finish was much longer than expected given earlier comments. Very pleased with this wine.

Shockingly good at this young age. Cherry, red berry, leather, and spice on the nose. Red berry continues on the palate with plums, tobacco, and spices. Tannins are well balanced at this early age. Medium length finish. Agree with Ganesha...look forward to having a bottle in years to come to see how this wine develops.

Dissapointed. Aromas of spice and leather hinted at an eciting wine but failed to deliver. Heavy glycerol sensation yet still thin in the mouth. Red berry, little spice, and almost gaminess prevailed. The wine's flavor faded as it breathed which was probably a good thing in this case.

Wow. This was really amazing...even more so given the 16 dollar price tag. I am a Sancerre nutt so I don't give praise lightly. Citrus and apple on the nose with anticipation of someting heavier to follow. Notes of grapefruit, pear, apple, slate, and hints of oak in perfect balance. The finish lingers greater than expected for a white. Bottom line is this is one of the best Sancerres I have ever had. Glad I bought a bunch.

Aroma of leather and dark fruit. So very very silky in the mouth. Light of the start with a rush of dark fruit, mocha, spice, and hints of prunes. Long long finish.

Terrific value. Smokey leathery aroma with pleny of black fruit. Nice acidity and tannins (I probbaly drank it a little early but I like tannin). Veavy and velvety. Dark fruit, plums, tobacco, and spice. Hints of smoked meat. Heard complaints of earlier vintages not lasting on the palate but the finish definitely lingered. Will buy again for sure. I am intereted to see where this wine goes in years to come.

We drank this a tad past its prime. Slightly straw colored. Regained some of its character when chilled properly. Subtle pear, apple, apricott, not much citrus at all. Very pleasant, subtle, and enjoyable....but 1-2 years too late.

Wow...this was a bad wine. And I don't think it was just too young. The nose was astrigent with dull plums. First taste revealed an over-tannic fruit deprived mess with slight mustiness at the finish.

Had this at a friends house last week and loved it! Just bought 4 off WTSO...my lucky day. Will post detailed tasting note when arrives.

Oddly enough this wine was much better right out of the bottle and without food. We paired it with duck (which I thought would be perfect) and the flavor was destroyed. Never had this experience before. When optimal the nose included cherry cola, gunpowder, and a hint of smoked meat. The pallate included berry, light vanilla, but was more tannic than expected. Schizophrenic is the best way I can describe this wine. Agree with boegeman.

Abrupt tatse which does not linger. Heavy honey, peach, lavender. Had with thai curry which was a good pairing.
