Coravined a glass and followed for 30 minutes. Hard, nothing showing the ripeness of the vintage. Unexpected amount of tannin and austerity for a '15 Bourgogne ... will pull the cork tomorrow and let breath for an hour or 2...

Tons of Mousse - very crisp with citrus notes, and a beautiful mouthfeel and zingy finish. A little bit of white tropical flower in there too!
Very easy to drink ...

Solid showing - Coravin’s half the bottle into a 1/2 carafe. So round, dark cherry with lots of acid freshness to make it very gulpable - showing no age to me

Cote Rotie in a Burgundian way…. Lots of finesse, long finish. Lots of good notes on this - I agree with most- a little smoke, dark berries with great balance. Powerful in a lighter way…. L

It’s on the lighter side of Zinfandel, maybe due to the field blend.
I always find Carlisle’s Zinfandels a great pairing with Indian food - tonight we had Chicken Curry with Golden Saffron Rice. So glu glu

Best one from the mixed , and last Beauroy. Still very round showing the ripness of the year, but great fruit and mouthfeel, with a clean finish

Decanted for 2 hours. Wine was in perfect condition with really nice red fruited Sangio. Great balance and mouthfeel. Which I could have paid closer attention to it, as it was probably my WOTN in a big line up. Drank alongside the '96

Stood Up for a day (which wasn't enough) and double decanted at 10am. A fair amount of very fine sediment I wish had settled more and some heavier sediment I was able to decant off.
This was drunk next to the '90 (which is a bit off) and the '04 which were so very similar. Very good Showing maybe at peak?

I opened 3 2015 Bourgognes…. This, Lignier and Meo… this was the least impressive by 4 of us, by a large margin.
None of the typical ripeness I expect from ‘15s. Maybe they picked too early? Vines too young?
Anyway - was very Meh

Probably nearing its peak. Showed much more balance and fruit than the ‘99 I served next to it -

Starting to show well (better than the Hudelot or Meo Camuzet ‘15s we opened alongside)
Dark red fruit and spice- round with a nice zingy finish….. finish shows some sour fruit and a touch of orange peel
White - Sparkling

Brought to Torishin. Unctuous and young but enough balance to pull off the youthful orchard fruit.
Love to hold the other bottles for at least 3 more years

Presented with a lot of youthful structure. With a Half hour in decanter and half hour in glass it started to loosen up. As so it became better integrated and started to showing some beautiful sweet red fruit mixed with typical darker notes and some white pepper.

Not showing any age. Took about 15 minutes to open to let the dark red berry fruit, cake spice and touch of oak/cinnamon to show thru.
Was very easy to drink!

Opened at 12pm - Decanted at 4pm (there was a lot of sediment) back in the bottle at 6 and brought to dinner.
Giving up loads of sweet fruit with enough framework to show great in a modern style.

Firing on all cylinders- worked as a pop n pour. On the more feminine side of Barolo, zero austerity
Great fruit - everything so well resolved and very hard to put down

Cork Saturated all the way to the top. Took a few minutes for a little funk to blow off, but fruit was present right from the start. Nice Gevrey spice, red berry with very fine tannins presenting the framework for this very nice wine.
Perfectly ripe red berry fruit with a little underbrush and a tinge of pine sap. Wish I had more

A little thin with pretty red berry fruit and some lasting fine tannin astringency. Not much fruit (not enough - for me) and some dry extract in there too.
Maybe this bottle is on the downhill slide, but color doesn’t appear that way.

Showing well as a pop n pour, took no time to show ripe round fruit with some underbrush.
Not much structure left, but very enjoyable
Amazing for the $15 I paid from PremierCru

Still young but evolving so well. Long very nice fine grained tannins, with loads for cherry fruit core wrapped in some leather. Opened up over 2 hours, but still showing its youth and enough structure to go another 20

Popped and poured, served with Iberico grilled pork - worked well.
Very nice dark red Berry with beautiful mouthfeel and lift on the finish. Fleshed out to much improvement after an hour. Young and maybe needs more air or more time sideways. Very well made wine!

Wine was fine and proper- still showing the ripeness of the vintage. Ripe fruit, A faint petrol note and enough acid to carry. Probably at peak or touching the other side

Lots of Browning , started without much fruit.
At first the finish was a little suspect but with some air it came around to be very pleasant. Drink up

Some spice but almost no fruit. No off putting aromas so hard to say it’s flawed, but it’s just not at all like any Rhys Horseshoe Pinot I’ve had before.

Something missing?

very good cali pinot. Cherry pie, baking spice and some dark berry with a flair of crispness to not let it get flabby. very easy to drink. Not a lot of layers, but very good at what it does.

Decanted at the restaurant from Mag. Needed much more than the hour of air it received. On the muscular side of Barolo with lots of Medium Dark Berry, fine grained tannin, plenty of structure and a very nice mouthfeel. Thru it’s big boned presence there were very nice floral and mineral notes, but I didn’t follow close enough to get more specific . Very enjoyable - will benefit from 5-15 years of rest

Double Decanted at 10am for a 7pm dinner, which was necessary due to logistics and work, and I believe turned out to really help show this wine at its best.
Beautiful notes of complex red berries, with roses and spice. Lots of layers, and the wine still has many years of fruit left. Super fine grain tannins well integrated at this point. This bottle seemed to be in a great place and was very enjoyable. Shared at a Knights of Alba Dinner

Fresh and lovely.

Cork kind of crumbled . Poured into a carafe and nose had some cooked notes, as this was brought to a restaurant to open it was fairly cloudy. Let it sit for a bit, no cooked notes on the wine- took a half hour for the sweet fruit to come center stage, with some herbs. On the downhill side but I enjoyed this bottle very much

Started off with muscular tannins and a bit light on the fruit. As I am not a fan of ‘11 red burgs, I wasn’t expecting much- but after 30-40 minutes the tannins became gentle framing for the red Berry fruit and spice one expects to find in. Nuit.
Much better than expected!
