Opened and poured. Great depth and personality with dark red fruit character, pronounced anise and a bit of plums and dried herbs. Long in the finish. Tannins are fine and finally fading. Good for another couple of years.

Outperforms its price, vintage and classification. Decanted for an hour and it was in great balance with hardly any green bell pepper notes. Layered fruit of plums and blackberries with hints of pencil and oak. Bit of garrigue on the nose. Silky tannins remain but I like it now.

Drinking perfectly now for me. The fruit is still fresh and vibrant with raspberry and cherry flavors with a strong hint of licorice. Dried herbs and rosemary add to the floral aromas. Fine tannins remain.

Decanted for two hours. Juicy raspberry and plum notes with black pepper, rosemary and dried herbs. Long finish. Balanced with residual tannins. I like where it's at though: nice edge and bright, pure fruit.

Very pretty wine with floral, violet and rosemary aromas. Big, juicy raspberry flavors with a hint of black pepper and red currants. Long in finish and moderately complex with gritting tannins abating. If you like your ChdP fresh, now is the time to drink this.

Ripe plum, strawberry and blueberry fruit with nice floral aromas. Drinking well now. Turning the corner to the raisiny character.

This bottle was more consistent with previous tastings than the last bottle. More balanced with dried fruit, herbal character, fine tannins, palate length and red fruit flavors. Floral, violet aromas with a dash of pepper. Significant licorice on palate. Alcohol and acidity more in sync. Full bodied. For my palate, it is at the tipping point of becoming too raisiny for my palate. I'll drink up my final two bottles soon. Decanted for an hour.

This wine is past it's prime. I was very disappointed to witness the tired, dried fruit character and abundance of alcohol. Decanted for more than an hour and it never came around. It's a bit oxidized too. Because I gave it a much higher score when I tasted it a month ago, maybe it's just a bad bottle.

Reviewing this wine in the context of Rioja, I think it's outstanding for the vintage. Red fruit, violet and black licorice aromas. Fresh cherry and blackberry flavors with heavy influence of oak (vanilla, spice). Long and persistent finish. Full body. This was a $25 price! Open in the next 2 years.

This wine is performing far beyond what I would expec from a Cotes du Rhone. Jammy raspberry and blackberry flavors with a dash of cassis and licorice. Dried herbs. Fine tannins remain but it isn't getting better.

Generous plum, cassis and raspberry notes with a floral, violet nose and a bit of garrigue. Touch of licorice. Maybe a bit beyond its prime but still delicious.

Decanted for 45 minutes. Nose still closed but exhibiting classic herbal aromas with a bit of lavender and lead pencil. Palate shows gritty tannins, ripe plum and blackberry flavors with a dash of white raisin. Very long finish and tasting a bit hot. But well structured and full body.

Opened for an hour before serving. Fruit is dried and tired. Fine and few tannins. Black fruit flavors with a good dose of anise. It's a pretty wine now and still tasty but I'm drinking it up before the fruit fades any further.

Bright fruit indicates to me it is in front of that raisiny state I personally dislike. Lots of anise in nose and taste. Rosemary on nose with cassis, raspberry and cherry flavors and some nice garrigue. Touch of mineral. Long in the finish with moderate, fine tannins. decanted 45 minutes.

Incredibly rich and complex with a creamy texture, full body, granny smith apple and peach flavors with hints of vanilla, lemon, butterscotch and cloves. Brisk acidity balances out the hedonistic fruit character. Long finish. One of the best I've tasted from the 2014 vintage.

Solid performance for this wine with dark fruit flavors (blackberry, plum, black cherry), pencil and tobacco. Moderate structure and silky, fine tannins. In its drinking window now but maybe two years left at most.

Pretty light for a CdP. Mature raspberry and black cherry flavors with a hint of spice and forest floor. Aromas are the best part -- lavender and dried herbs. Opened for about an hour. Don't see this getting any better.

I can't imagine a better window through which to explore this wine. Perfect maturity with fruit quite alive and integrated. Just a hint of dusty tannins remain. Blackberry and plum fruit with hints of leather, pencil, dried herbs. Long in the finish. Decanted for 2 hours.

It took forever for the aromatics to open on this blend of monastrell, syrah and garnacha. Violets, wild huckleberries, pencil and dried rosemary. Flavors tart with plums, blueberries, blackberries. Unctuous and thick. Long in finish. Hint of licorice. Full bodied and high and alcohol level obvious.

The tannins have really faded from this otherwise excellent wine. Decanted for an hour. Flavors were classic S-M: bell pepper (but not as prominent), black cherry and cassis flavors, dried herbs on nose, hints of spice and leather. At this point I would say the body is medium and fruit a bit tired. Rusty edges in color.

Dark color, dense and complex with layered dark berry fruit and well integrated tannins. Excellent balance and length with surprises as it evolves. Decanted for an hour but it kept improving as it opened more. Dusty tannins and some herbs and olives.

Decanted for an hour. The best asset of this wine is the aromas -- generous, black pepper, herbs and dark berry. But the flavors fade prety fast -- not sure I would decant it next time. Black berry, cherry flavors with a dash of black pepper. Tannins nearly gone, so window is closing.

Decanted for an hour. Fruit a bit dried and tired. Probably waited too long. This is a simple, medium-bodied and inexpensive Bordeaux that surpasses its price point. Dark fruit flavors, very little fine tannin remains, a bit of cassis and herbs.

Until now this wine has been awkward with the expected bell pepper flavors and brutal tannins. However, that's all gone with this last tasting. For an unclassified wine, there isn't anything better in my experience with numerous vintages. Decanted for an hour. Excellent balance and finish. The fruit is not tired or overly ripe. Blackberries, raspberries, plums with a hint of tobacco. Herbal and violet aromas.
