Very smooth with a dark cherry flavor. Well balanced but not as complex as hoped. Very well paired with steak!

On the fuller bodied sweeter side...not sweet but not crisp. Fairly simple and tasty, just not that interesting. Had with sushi, worked well!

Easy to drink and enjoy. A bit hot which reduces the complexity and overwhelms the finish but good notes of cherry and pepper.

Rich fruit nose with dominant oak taste. Finish is long and allows the structure of the wine to come through, the oak on the initial taste is just slightly too much.

Good once it opened up. Was quite tart at the beginning, smoothed out after 30 minutes or so. Fruit forward, simple finish. Not as complex as the 2008.

Decanted for about an hour. Had that "old" Cabernet feel where the fruit and tannins were mellowed. Not as bold as the more current fogarty meritages but the complexity was more refined. Paired very well with sherry soy marinade flank steak.

A bit tight out of the bottle but really smoothed out after the first hour. Delicious now but could handle a few more years of ageing. Dark cherry with a more oaky finish. Delicious!

Tight out of the bottle, decanted while we drank the first glass. Nice and smooth after a short decant, more subtle pepper notes on the finish. Not as bold as earlier years.
