Oakey, buttery, walnuts, herbs and spice. Medium richness. A subtle finish; short. The COSTCO price $18 is about right. Good food wine with lobster.

This CdP has kept well for 14 years. The tannin is mellow; still, the wine seems to have a couple years left to appreciate. Cherry, raspberry, cassis, meaty, forest floor and garrigue. A big wine, rich and full bodied. Great structure. A mild and extended finish. It might last a little longer, but I'm going to try to consume the rest of my bottles in a couple of years!

Two bottles. Complex nose and body of cherry, raspberry, strawberry, spice, cinnamon and some smoke. Good structure and balance. Drinking at its apogee; maybe a year or two left. Score 93-94. Consumed on Veterans Day in memory of LCDR Larry “Mike” Jordan, a fellow U.S. Navy serviceman during the Vietnam War. Mike was returning to the USS Kitty Hawk from the Philippines when his aircraft, a KA3B aerial tanker, was purportedly shot down on April 12, 1966. His name is listed on The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, PANEL 6E LINE 106.

Cosnistent with my notes of 12-13-15 - "Blackberry, black cherry, roasted meat, saddle leather, tobacco, peppercorn, a little bret, some Provencal herbs, spice, touches of bacon fat and cigar box." The wine was a little better in my earlier tastings, but still a good wine.

Two bottles consumed in last month. Very good pinot from Willamette Valley. Nicely concentrated fruit - cherry, raspberry, strawberry, spice. I could be wrong, but the wine seems close to maturity.

See my prior notes from 2.5 years ago. Luckily, this bottle was much livelier that the last bottle. But, still probably time to drink up soon.

My favorite chardonnay. But, I guess I'm going to have to find a new favorite, as this seems to be the last year for the vineyard. Luckily, I have a few more left. Score 93+.

My 5th time to taste this wine. Powerful and deep fruit flavors - pepper, cigar box, smoke, coffee (expresso), saddle leather, bacon fat, as well as roasted game, herbs and spice. Love this wine - glad I have more. No rush to consume - has years left.

Complex aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, blueberry, anise seed, hints of basil, graphite, spice and toasty vanillin. Very similar to my last tasting 7 years ago, except it is now fullu mature.

Similar to my notes taken 2.5 years ago: Aromas and flavors of pear, apple, apricot, citrus, ginger and minerals. Great structure. Intense and layered fruit. A viscous texture in the mouth.

Similar to my last tasting on Oct. 2018: Deep dark inky garnet body; purple rim. Blackberry, blackcurrant, blueberry, chocolate, tobacco, cigarbox from the oak. Big, big and intense fruit; rich. Great structure. High viscosity. Smooth and elongated finish. This wine has many years left for appreciation. Score 94-95

A medium red-ruby color; bricking apparent; some some browning on the rim. Aromas and flavors of raspberry, leather, spice, sweet tobacco leaf and cigar box, licorice and Provencal herbs. I did not notice cocoa this time. I got a little white pepper as the wine reached room temperature. No barnyard or bret observed. Rich and intense fruit, but not exceptionally powerful - more of an elegant, composed and dignified type of wine. Excellent structure and balance. A long and extended finish, with herb nuances. Clloser to maturity
