Very ripe and fresh wine with nice spice notes. Paired very well with a Thai recipe of baked tofu in peanut sauce, pickled peppers over rice and arugula.

What you would expect from Orin Swift. Blended to be a big fruity wine with tremendous depth and juiciness. Blackberry color. Very tasty, served with lamb chops and braised leeks.

Served with Thanksgiving meal 2020. Short decanting and poured. Really rich velvety example of Willamette Pinot. Very fruit forward and balanced. Love

I was surprised by the color. More rose than ruby. Very transparent with slight orange ring. But looks were deceiving, this was decanted around noon and tasted 8 hours later (post Thanksgiving meal). Perfect ending to the day. Rich fruit with some clove and velvety milk chocolate hints.

Vintner Todd Anderson once said you should buy a case of wine and taste a bottle once a year. I had 9 bottles of this and have been checking in. In 2017 I said this was in decline. I was wrong. With some decanting this is a delicious, velvety, tannic wine with all the fruit notes present. Some cocoa, a little cedar. Very great Cal can. Two more bottles left.

Nine years has served this wine well. Classic fruit forward Turley Zin, but showing maturity and restraint.

All the other reviews were from 2014. Happy to say the wine was still in good shape. Dark plummy colors and full of fruit. My issue was this was a little sweet and lacked balance. Maybe unfair drinking this after a killer Brunello.

Wow. Still climbing. Aging gracefully. Still has lots of ripe fruit in complete harmony. Color is still pristine.

I held on to this longer than normal because bottle was signed by Susan Hendry. Have to say we were happily surprised to find a very beautiful wine inside that is very much still evolving. The spice of the Zin grape is mostly gone but a robust fruit is still left behind. Starting to resemble a middle aged Bordeaux
Very lovely

Jumped the gun and opened this up for a special family gathering. Fantastic. Great color and creamy silky mouth feel. Loaded with mature black fruits. Great now so I can only imagine this in a few years.

Really was surprised by how enjoyable this bottle was. Blackberries with notes of red licorice and some smoky herbs. Very versatile, I served with grilled scallops and bbq shrimp, but I can see this going well with a simple burger or even game and duck.

Bought this bottle at the vineyard. Opened and decanted for about 45 minutes. Drank with an amazing seafood paella made during the Covid pandemic. Truly a beautiful, lush and full bodied example of Rioja. More plush and velvety than most from the region. Little chocolate to go with the plummy fruit.

Terrific Brunello that is aging beautifully. Holding onto its fruit and tannins well. I paid $32 many years ago which makes this a great value. Easily drinking like a 50-60 dollar wine.

One of the many bottles to help us get through the COVID19 crisis. Solid wine with lots of dark stone fruits like plums and sweet blackberries. Decanted 30 minutes before drinking. Still has life in the bottle but possibly just passed its peak.

This is the last of four bottles. The last one was corked so I was nervous. This was still a humongous fruity drink. Surprisingly ageless. I expected it to be more subdued and austere. No way. Huge cherry and blackberry and spice on the nose. Aerated it and after an hour still a powerhouse. If you have some, enjoy them.
