Still primary fruit. Cassis and leather and charcoal are evident as is prune and a hint of butterscotch. Of course the eucelyptus and menthol are present but not overpowering. Tannins well intergrated. Could go longer but unsure if it would get any better.

Absolutely delicious. Wine still has legs but drinking beautifully. Distinctive menthol/eucalyptus one expects from an Aussie Shiraz. Tannins have intergrated well and a lovely graphite note underscores the primary fruit. Wish I had more to where it goes from here

Oxidized. Hey it's not mouvedre so can't expect all grenache rose to last this long.

In a great spot and doubt it will evolve in a positive way much more.

A nose of a stinky cheese shop on opening which after decanting blew off to reveal lovely earthy notes along with mushroom and truffle notes. Surprisingly great color for a wine of this age with no browning. Simply a great bottle of wine and thoroughly enjoyable. Drank with Paul and Tim and Christine.

Delicious but still young with loads of primary fruits. This wine has 10 more years and if I had not known the vintage I would have guessed 2010.

Typical nose of menthol and primary fruit. On the palette this wine is very upfront with no layers or complexity. Delivered a little more to the mid palette after a couple of hours decanting but still a disappointing wine for me. All upfront and no complexity which seemed at odds with the lovely nose.

In no way is this wine ready to drink. This is becoming a theme with cellar tracker i.e. Drink by dates for can sav and Syrah are far to early.
Having tasted this wine I would give it another 10 years to age. If I had several bottles I would open another in 5 years to assess its development but unfortunately I only had the one bottle and 5 years after caller trackers drink by date it is still a fruit bomb with tones of primary fruit. Very disappointed in the drink by dates for big reds on cellar tracker.

Great nose on opening but all over the place on the palette with a metallic after taste. Needed an hour in the decanter and became a totally different wine. Far more intergrated and very enjoyable. Soft tannins and still some primary fruit.

Drinking ok but won't get any better from here on. Decanted as the cork fell apart. If you have any left drink soon.

A beautiful nose. Opened this bottle and came back to it 3 days later and all that bouquet had disappeared and oxidation was present. Very impressed when first opened. Lovely roses and berries with great balance and acidity.
