Red
Excellent, right after opening and even better with some air. Drank over 2 days (stored in fridge). Probably at its peak right now and for a few more years.
White
Green apple and blossoms at the nose. Deep and lengthy palate showing a nice balance of fruit, delicious acids and minerality. Texture is slightly velvety, however barely any signs of evolution at this point in time. The overall appearance is just stunning. I wonder how even more delicious this one might become in a few/many years.
Red
Funky nose right after opening, cleared up after couple of hours and even better on second day. Vibrant oak-free medium bodied tempranillo. The palate is well integrated, with deep berries and finely grained tannins. Reasonable length. No reason to cellar any longer. Excellent QPR at < €8.

Black cherries, red berries, chocolate and subtle vanilla at the nose. Some jam and bell pepper. Full bodied; loads of fruit on the palate, smooth and creamy texture complemented with chewy tannins and everpresent fresh acids. Finish builds towards sweet hint of alcohol (expressive of 15.5% indicated on bottle). Really enjoyed it. Would buy again without hesitation ($10).

Drank over two days. Expressive nose with layers of berries, plum; some hay and cabbage notes. Very well balanced on the palate; velvety texture, juicy tart fruit, excellent structure and good length as well. Love it. Posesses all attributes to age into something even more beautiful.

Deep focused nose, cooked fruit, brambles, blueberries, chocolate, liquorice, orange peel and smoke. Velvety mouth-filling texture on the palate, spicy and deep layers of fruit. Excellent balance and length. Big and complex, evolved a lot in the glass. Needs at least a few hours of air before showing its true quality. Supple to drink now, a lot of potential left for further aging.

Seductive nose with lots of cherries, plum, beef jerky, cedar and vanilla. Well-balanced and nicely structured on the palate. Layered depth, medium-to-full body, chewy mid-palate, smooth tannins at the finish. Mellow, but without signs of evolution; structured to survive and possibly improve for many more years. Excellent.

Elegant nose with abundant apricot, crème brûlée, butter, orange jam, saffron and some fresh mint. At first also some chemical notes (acetone) but beautiful after opening up for some time. Rich and balanced on the palate: butterscotch, vanilla, exotic fruit and abundant crisp acids. Deep and layered, with some bitter orange peel notes towards the finish. Delicious; liveliness and complexity at this age is impressive, it will last for many more years (decades).

Rather closed at the nose on the first day, elderberry blossom, honeysuckle and green apple after swirling. Expressive on the second day, a lot of lemon zest; focus and purity. Sweet on the palate, with many layers of crisp delicious acid providing a lot of tension; passion fruit and kiwi. Long exotic finish with more zest. Needs some time to settle, a lot of potential for long bottle aging.

Blackberries and plum at the nose, lots of cabbage and a hint of cedar. Medium textured on the palate, quite a lot of savory secondary notes, balanced by fruit, acids and a touch of alcohol. The grainy tannins are quite abundant; overal impression is rustic, nicely made. Will improve over the next years, no signs of evolution except for the fruit that has faded a little in comparison to previous tastings (in 2012). Quality is amazing for this price range and style (€ 5-8).

Double decanted and subsequently slow-ox for 6 h. Ripe cherries, toast and vanilla at the nose. Deep and multilayered, but still appearing young and rather closed. Chewy on the palate, dark red fruit, a touch of acids and spicy secondary impressions that need more time to fully integrate. Savory, medium-full bodied, ending with lots of round tannins. Great balance and there definitely is a lot of depth and aging potential. Excellent wine. Looking forward to trying this again in 5-10 years.

Light nose with fresh strawberries, yoghurt and cherries. Nice play of crisp acids, red fruit and some light spices on the palate. Medium-light texture. Good wine, missing some depth, very nice structure for 'red' pairing with lighter foods.

Delicious fresh oak and spice at the nose. Purity is extraordinary; brambles, leather and and tobacco. Medium intense but very volatile. Well-balanced and fresh on the palate, nice attack of acids and sweet fruit, spices and toast poping in towards the finish. Seductive, dark and chewy. Lots of finely grained tannins at the long finish. Will age well for a long long time. Quality for price is awesome (17 EUR), Spain!

Pear, elderberry blossom, lime and a touch of eucalyptus. Pure and medium intense. White and yellow fruit on the palate, nicely balanced acids and a mineral smoky touch. Medium body with an exotic touch. Small notes of bitter at the finish. This is a convincing example of the potential of dry furmint, a nice combination of delicate fruit, smokiness, an exotic note and great acids.

Pure and focused at the nose. Tart cherries, cassis and cedar. Juicy and velvety on the palate, subtle signs of evolution, integrated oak and dustiness. Nicely balanced but lacking some intensity on the fruit side, falls short on the mid palate. Deep, savory finish with soft tannins. The nose and finish are tremendous, some minor issues on the palate which might relate to the difficult vintage.

Complex nose: apricot, peach and other stone fruit, hint of petrol, lime zest, mineral note. Exotic fruit on the palate, crisp acids (green apple), nice and full on the mid-palate with some tension between the fruit and the acids. Great structure for aging and delicious right now.

Not overly expressive at the nose, some apricot, peach and cream. Completely different experience on the palate: a lot of juicy fruit and a light mineral touch. Medium texture and a very deep mid-palate. Beautiful acids provide a firm backbone. Long elegant finish. Might cellar very well for some more years; great to drink now too.

Integrated nose, a subtle mixture of aromas such as smoke, berries, dried paprika, others difficult to pinpoint. Juicy fruit and rather firm structure with a decent dose of oak on the palate. Classic Bdx pofile, leaving a youthfull, dusty overal impression. Clearly not at the end of its life, not that many signs of evolution yet.

Plum, liquorice, berries and vanilla at the delicate nose. Not overly expressive but quite pure. Very ripe on the palate: cooked fruit and prunes, cabbage and some earth. Seductive texture, slight note of alcohol compensated by nice acids and round tannins and a nice length. Modern style. Lacking some depth and a solid backbone, but still very high value for money. Ready to drink over the next few years, not sure about long-term aging potential.

Delicate bouquet at the nose: truffles, earth, leather and poached cherries. Medium bodied on the palate, silky texture, fine forrest fruit and a decent dose of round tannins. Longlasting complex finish. While aromatically and structurally the wine is clearly in an advanced stage of aging, it will last for many more years, which is also suggested by the opaque ruby color with only a slight orange rim.

Oranges, syrup and ripe tropical fruit at the nose. Fresh onset with yellow fruit and crisp acids; silky texture on the mid-palate with subtle notes of syrup; sweet and medium concentrated towards the finish. Compared to the 5 puttonyos, this is fresher but slightly less concentrated and less deep at the nose. I really like the fresh style though, it matches well with food. May also age well for many more years. Very good wine.
