Opened at 9am, slow-O till 3p, aerated to decanter, served at 7p, at cellar temp. The extended airtime really did this a world of good. Fully expressive, with roses, cherries, blackberries and oak. Full bodied, cool acids and a lengthy, detailed finish. Tannins at the very beginning of their integration; drying, but fine. I really didn't have very high hopes for this, having been let down with other vintages (normale), but this 04 is a keeper. Drink thru 2019, recommended

Not sure where else to turn so I thought I'd give this a shot. i bought 2 seperate sixers of this wine and one group had a pink and black strip of tape running vertically from the top of the bottle halfway down the foil. The other group did not have the tape. Any idea regarding the significance of that tape?

    Thanks- Arcturus
