Absolutely amazing. Needed to open up for about an hour but when it did it was light and elegant with hints of spice and pepper combined with notes of dried fruit.

Nice acidity with solid mix of dark and dried fruit -- think bing cherries with a hint of licorice--fresh pepper up front and lingers.

decanted for an hour and not until the second hour did the wine start opening up. shared with friends at Blvd in SF and all agree this wine is classic sonoma coast, smoky, fruit balance and good acid.

After all these years this wine keeps tasting great, had it side by side with younger Spring Mountain cabs and this 2001 stood tall against the younger bottles. Good fruit, nice balance and lovely finish -- 2001 was a great year.

Very young bottle but I had to open it -- let it sit for about 2 hours before we drank it -- tight structure, solid tannins and background fruit -- excellent example of howell mountain fruit -- I think 2010 fruit was mild in most cabs I've tried -- let's see what happens over time.

For a warm San Francisco Indian Summer Evening in November this wine is both refreshing and good. Cheers.

Good everyday wine from the South of France. The nose is soft with hints of raisins and plum. Balance leans more on the fruit side than acid, hints of dark fruit and cherries. Medium finish, lingers more on the front side of the mouth than the back.

Not sure why I bought this wine there are much better pinots from Alexander valley but nonetheless this bottle was a disappointment. It lacked structure, heavy on the fruit, and the finish was very much alcohol.

After 10 years, this bottle held its own, those mountain zin grapes pack a punch. The wine retained a good combination of spice and dried dark fruit. Sad that it was my last bottle.

Not sure how this bottle made it into my cellar but nonetheless (I love this adverb) it was mediocre at best, then again I held it way too long. It was fine, fruit forward at this age and lacking any structure to hold it together.

From the moment the bottle is opened to the last drop this wine is an explosion of flavor and texture. It's rare I find a cab that is ready to drink at opening. I am going t o go out and buy a few more bottles. It's fruit forward without being jammy. It has tannins but not so much that your mouth shrinks. It's good.

More US producers should be making blends. Eagle Trace does a fine job at mixing acid, sugar and dirt. It's enjoyable from first sip to last drop.

The vintage was not the best and time did not improve the wine all that much. It lost most of its fruit and left more of that dark leather, tobacco and smoke taste.

Was not sure if this wine was going to hold up over the years, but I was was pleasantly surprised at how well the wine held both fruit and acidity. The color was rust like, good nose, and dark fruit and some nice acid. Did not linger too much, but very enjoyable for a 10 year old wine.

I've heard of this label but never tried it until now; the Red Belly was a very good wine. Fairly well balanced, fruit forward with nice acidity on the back end. Great everyday wine -- I think I'll buy a few more bottles to have on hand.

It's not summer but it might as well be when I sip this wine whatever the temperature is outside; that's what this wine reminds me of on a crisp November night. So on a cold night crank up the heater, play the beach boys and pop a bottle open, then you will understand.

The nose has hints of citrus and vanilla with a defined floral honey sent; legs are fast and its color is a greenish yellow. Good acid, not overly sweet, on the tart side, but good fruit (apricot, lemon) and with some nut flavor (hazelnut). The finish goes quick. It’s a good wine, pairs well with some light cheeses and chicken dishes with light sauces. Good value.

- Yellow color with medium forming legs and aromas of hazelnut and grapefruit. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of fig and grapefruit with a medium body. Linear texture with a medium finish - I've had vermentino before at restaurants but really never bought it. I was pleasantly surprised by this wine. It's not complex. It drinks well out of the bottle. Opens up as the wine warms a bit. When the bottle has a fair amount of condensation that's the perfect temperature to drink.

Southern Rhone white wine, very little acid, butter like but no oak, silky and smooth. Vanilla and soft melon in the background, hint of grapefruit and anise. Finish is quick -- good food wine, chicken and summer roasted squash will pair well.

Great Table Wine from Elyse. Made a great red sauce with summer veggies over pasta and opened this bottle and what a great marriage. The wine has the spice of a zin, the smooth taste of a burgundy and the acid of a cab all in one bottle. Good nose, cherry, hints of blackberries and plum, nice bite and long finish.

After all these years this wine stood up, it past its prime but if you still have a bottle in your cellar its drinkable and while subtle it still had a good aroma and spice on the nose.

Classic French white burgundy. The nose is light but you can smell citrus. Clean taste, melon, honeydew and hints of tart pears. Less minerals and more sweet tones but not over the top. Nice finish lingers well on the sides of your tongue and makes you happy.

10 year old bottle and still packed a punch, good fruit, nice acid, with time the fruit turned darker like cherries and blackberries. Good smoke with hints of tobacco still coming out. It was a very pleasant wine, glad I saved it all these years to see how age helps.

The bouquet is of pears and pineapple with hints of cinnamon. It covers your palate nicely with a velvet texture. You taste warm fruit, light citrus with more lemon and some apple. Not much mineral taste but enough acid to bring balance. I would pair this with some nice goat cheese with apples or a white fish with a mango salsa.

Decanted this bottle and let it sit for about 2 hours before enjoying it with roast chicken and fingerling potatoes with a side of ratatouille and together it was sublime. This wine is very balanced – the bouquet is dark cherry with a hint of tobacco. Good acid feel, velvet coating of the tongue and the flavors are cassis, cherry, ripe plum with a long finish. This is not a big wine, it is a great example of Sonoma Mt. Pinot wine.
