Everything I look for in a pinot (not a pinot guy). Still has a pretty long life ahead of it, was still pretty grippy an hour in, but 3 hours of air time, was singing.

One of the best Barolos I've had the pleasure of drinking. Strong tannins but at least after several hours of breathing were well integrated so that your palate wasn't attacked, and still great on the second day. I felt that there was a seamless purity in this that so many bottles lack. Many many years left.

WOW... what a disturbing nose on this, I was prepared to pour it down the drain... but the taste and mouthfeel on this even against the 3 day old wet sock smell, really put on a show. If this bouquet was not so off putting, I'd say say this a mid-90's wine, but as it is, with 1 bottle left, I'd never open this for guests, but I'll find a time to drink it on my own. Would not repurchase. Several years left on the body, but sadly I don't see the aroma ever resolving.

Really really solid!!! First day, 2+ hrs opening time, was delicious with tri-tip, 2nd night, the wine showed better than the tri-tip(which was very very good). Length (on the wine) is a bit shortish to get higher scores.. but scores smores, this is really good and still has long life ahead. I need to go start a fire.....

Nice food friendly wine. Characteristic peterson acid forward, this just lacked at the mid & back palate. Probably on the downside of it's window.

Breathing for 2 hours before dinner of Mediterranean bowl, delicious earthy flavor profile with a bit of rhubarb-ish tinge. Still great 2nd night.

Had an hour to open up...and was lovely drinker, but at 2+ hrs this really was singing nicely. Just a few bottles left and in no hurry. This still remains in my crowd pleaser category.

Nice the first day, but was hoping for more. Drank more young than old, with brightness and not depth. On day 3, was fleshing out a little, but still seemed like a very young wine. I've got 3 left and not in any rush to drink them.

just delightful wine...first night with bison burgers, 2nd night with pizza... great sangio character with the extra weight from cab/merlot... great qpr, still time left in the drinking window

Drank over 2 day period, vacuvin'd. First day paired with burger and it had an hour to open prior to dinner...drinking better at the end of the burger than the beginning. Still one of my fav burger wines with the acid to balance with burger toppings and then the fruit and spice to hold it up to the juice of the burger. Second day, as usual, even better and finished it along side kc bbq brisket & ribs. More filled out, deeper, darker and a bit spicier 2nd day. Delicious! Still holding it's own, but I won't be saving this vintage for anything long term.

I like what some more time in bottle has done for this. Just a great drinking zin without drama, nice acidity, nice med- body...I'm finishing this up on day 3 (vacuvin) and still just incredibly nice.

1+ hour to open up, dynamite, with the extra varietals in there, from memory, PS, Carignane, Mourvedre... gives this extra body and length. Not near the end of life on this...

1+ hours to open up, dynamite napa cab, still strong structure and not going anywhere for awhile..unfortunately I have just 1 bottle left and I won't hesitate to open for an amazing experience, or let set as long as 2025

perfect monday night pizza wine.... while not memorable per se, this was wonderful and what I'd describe as a crowd pleaser and nothing out of whack, not astringent or tannic but yet a very solid mouthfeel with dark fruits. very nice!!

I'm a big fan of Peterson in general, but the PS ranks up there in my favorites. I may have preferred 2012 a bit to 2013, but I also started drinking my 2013 much later in the game...I may grab a 2014 soon and pop it to see if I need to accelerate my (Peterson) PS drinking window a bit. Great dark fruit with a spicy kick... nice acids and tannins, one of my go-to burger wines.

Really in a great spot. Consumed 2 glasses on day 1 with about 1.5 hours air time... was really nice but even still showing some tightness. Finished on day 3, and it was showing great. This is holding up well...I have 1 bottle left with no urgency to consume. (Although I'm not expecting improvement from this spot.)

Been sitting on these and was concerned as some of my other rockpile zins were starting to soften dramatically, i.e. beyond peak drinking... this still had awesome "verve"... nice acidity with nice body and great red/blue fruits ... I'll put 2023, but might easily surpass that.

Drank over 2 days...not a perfect pairing with KC BBQ, but still darn delicious. I think of this as a cross between Petite Sirah and dcv Zin... the heft and structure a bit more PS but not all the way there, the fruit/spice a bit more Zin.. but it stands apart from both as well. Love this wine!! (Still lots of structure and will drink well for a few more years methinks. )

Blue fruit, not chewy like some PS but this is in that Ridge drinkable style. I don't see it improving but it's drinking wonderfully right now including on night 2. I won't rush my last couple bottles... probably in next 2-3 years.

Really delicious napa cab, nice fruit still present along with nice structure in the wine, some vegetal elements but not unpleasant ...sometimes the green bell pepper of cab sauv can be off-putting to me. At a very nice spot right now but I don't see it vanishing quickly...except of course like I did when you drink your last/only bottle.

Opened an hour+ before starting to consume and drank over 3 hours along with lamb chop dinner. A delicious bottle, still lots of freshness in it, wonderful balance. 1 bottle left and I'm going to give us a couple years window to consume, but it wouldn't surprise me a bit if this has 5+ years of great drinking.

Sure, it was good enough, but well below expectations. I felt it was better Day 2 & 3 than 1 as the green element seemed to meld better and the body fleshed out a bit. I had such a great experience at the tasting room twice but so far have been less than thrilled based on the qpr. I didn't get the sense this was starting to quickly fade but at same time likely no upside.

Unique blend and even though Syrah is the largest component and Grenache is the least, it comes off more pinot-like with the Grenache element really somehow shining through. The missus liked more than I did.

Received in my club shipment and decided to drink 1 of my 3 bottles. First day was a bit thin feeling but still decent, but 2nd and 3rd days I felt it had rounded out better and more enjoyable. I think a few years time for the other 2 to round out will be rewarded.

I drink a fair amount of sangio albeit mostly in various Italian versions ... this bottle was the best usa version I can remember having. I believe it's the first FP sangio I've had. Drank over 2 days, opened a couple hours before beginning to consume, great pairing with a bolognese pasta. Still very solid fruit in this and a bit of a sweetness which I almost always react horribly to but this really enticed me on and the second day was even better as it had integrated and filled out a bit more. Wish I had a case of this in the cellar...sadly, just 1 more.

mostly green bell pepper wrapped in oak... drank over 2 days, second day just a tiny bit more integrated and smoothed, but still more thin & green ... poor qpr... doesn't hold up to the great red wines that WA can produce.

I just love both their current carignane bottlings. The old vine maybe has just a bit more earthiness and body as it opens up, but not a big gap between the two. Nice acidity but again, nice earthy body. I finished this off 48 hours after it was opened and was still delicious!!

Dynamite wine, bouquet exploded out of the bottle, got just over an hour to open up in glass, great blue fruit, nice structure (still) on this, a few years left ..oh if I had more. Last glass second night is still delicious. If you have any left and if they're stored properly... don't feel rushed, but also, hard to imagine you'll get better.

Agree with the comments about thin body, and a bit disappointing compared to other vintages of the Roussanne. I'd say there was a vegetal or grassiness not typical. Maybe it's in a "dumb" phase....will give the rest of my 17s much more time to see if they come around. The 17 Esprit Blanc is drinking lovely!!!

WOW... so fresh and lively for the age it has on.. night one at restaurant (pnp'd) .. very bright red fruit, tannins pretty integrated, just a bit of green pepper which is nice it wasn't overpowering... delicious, and night 2, just under cork, last glass+ is still very fresh, still primarily red fruit with a bit more roundness to it. Sadly a one-and-done for me. Drinking nicely, if I had more, I'd feel comfortable with drinking over next 2-4 years.

wasn't expecting this enjoyable of a zin, and I drink a fair amount of zin...and a fair amount of peterson... consider this a very crowd friendly balanced version of zin, great red (and a bit of blue) fruit, a hint of bramble and spice, and just easily quaffable. Last glass 2 days after opening (vacuum) still delicious.

Really hits a sweet spot for me...not sweet as in residual sugar, but you know, what I like in a white. There's nice freshness in this with a nice acidity on the front, but also has a nice mouth-coating aspect to it as well. Love it and will easily drink for 5 years... but probably be interesting over a 10+ year span.
