My favorite Chardonnay for the price. Do not hesitate to buy. No buttery oaky traditional chardonnay taste. Very clean and smooth but not acidic . does not burn the nose - silky smooth

The Collector is back with a brand new label, and the 2011 edition is an intriguing blend of Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas of tobacco and loam meld with vanilla, cherry and black fruits. There is a lush and savory quality to this wine that is focused with great acidity and expands with a mouthful of black currant, allspice and cassis. We held off on the release of this wine for a year while it hit it’s stride, but now we find it deep, rich and truly satisfying.

Get ready for the premiere of Homeland. A candy-cherry nose, loaded with floral, black plum and licorice notes, this powerful and lively wine is balanced with a firm tannin structure. Blackberry jam, raspberry and graphite minerality extend into the lengthy finish. We have worked for years with this vineyard, north of Napa town, which is also the Merlot source for our Frontman. We are happy to create this expressive Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and to call it Homeland.

The 2012 Sainte Fumée is a bigger, richer version of her previous counterparts. Always a fan favorite, this wine exhibits aromas of white pepper, roses and caramelized sugar. Deep flavors of cherry cordial and cocoa powder are lifted by a firm and tannic structure. Big and expressive with loads of perfume, Sainte Fumée just might be your “go to” summer bottle.

There is a reason we call this wine “The Knockout”. Full-bodied and luscious with great structure, it has beautiful aromas of violets and black cherry pie. Flavors of dark fruits – plum and blueberry, extend through the finish. Built to go the distance, it will also be eminently satisfying in its youth.

The 2011, 90% Napa Cabernet and 10% Petit Verdot, is once again approachable and satisfying. Bright, deep ruby/purple in color, it expresses violets, white pepper and black raspberry on the nose. This densely-packed and energetic wine exhibits lively tannins balanced by sweet notes of chocolate-covered blueberries, cedar and warm blackberries. The juicy finish is plush and lingers with just a hint of clove. This one is “in the pocket”.

A perennial favorite, from the Cemetery Vineyard in St. Helena, which has always thrilled us, and the 2011 vintage is no exception. It is classic Cabernet Sauvignon. Beautifully deep, yet vibrant ruby in color, it boasts aromas of cedar and rich earth, with notes of anise and clove. Juicy and supple with well-integrated tannins, this seamless wine is smooth and generous with creamy cassis and bitter chocolate flavors long into the lingering finish. According to Les, a wine perfectly suited to enjoy while contemplating life.

We love movies. We loved Roger Ebert. In April 2013, about the time we were putting this blend together and working on the label, we heard of his passing. This is our tribute to him. Featuring aromas of vanilla, cedar and orchids, this action-packed wine plays to loads of blue fruits, bitter chocolate and focused minerality. Silky, plush and broad on the mid palate, it is perfectly balanced from the opening credits to the satisfying finish - a full-length work, destined to be a classic. The balcony is closed.

This wine allures with deep purple to black hues. An enticing, complex nose develops into quite expressive aromas of black cherry, blueberry pie, cassis, licorice and violet. Vibrant red fruit & blackberry flavors burst in the mouth with notes of tar and over-baked cherry Clafoutis. This wine is juicy, bold and generously rich. Think Hanger steak, Boeuf Bourguignon, Game and chocolate dessert.

Welcome to The Dark Place! Visions in deep garnet, almost black colors will swirl around your mind. This wine satisfies the imagination and is reminiscent of a pine forest with vanilla, sweet cherries, anise and violets. Traveling deeper into the palate brings up savory flavors in the mouth of raspberry, strawberry and freshly ground pepper that is stealthily followed up with a long, broad finish. This blend of Tempranillo, Grenache, Cinsault and Cabernet Franc is poised to pull you in!

All bases are covered with this stunning Behrens & Hitchcock wine. For openers, is boasts a deep and saturated ruby color. On the nose are hints of cedar and bacon vinaigrette with classic Cabernet notes. Perfectly balanced acidity and soft tannins compliment and enhance the flavors of anise, cedar, clove and black currant with a finish like a fastball: balanced, focused and linear.

Ruby purple in color, the 2010 Spare Me is what an easy-drinking Cabernet should be. Spicy, toasty aromas of pepper, vanilla, tobacco, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg (the whole spice rack!) set you up for the luxardo maraschino cherry, toasted coconut and tapioca flavors in the mouth. A finish of hazelnut, black cherry and blueberry completes this beautifully balanced, vibrant wine.

The second vintage of The Collector is an intriguing blend of some of our favorite varietals, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot. Aromas of candied orange peel, cedar resin, cigar ash and molasses are complimented by flavors of dark chocolate, dusty blackberry and hints of grilled steak. This wine has a gorgeous texture and body, all wrapped up in firm but velvety tannins.

Coming back at you is the 2010 The Knockout. With a beautiful, dark purple color and deep-toned aromatics of espresso and molasses, this wine floats like a butterfly, yet stings like a bee. Licorice and violets, combined with a rich marzipan and huckleberry-blackberry mix, hits your palate and continues on to a voluptuous, solid finish of crème de cassis. This exquisite wine packs a wallop of flavor.

With its purple black hue, the Moulds Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is our only single vineyard designate wine this Fall. We are grateful to Steve and Betsy for the addition of Cabernet Franc to the vineyard, as it builds beautifully in to this favorite of ours. Its rich and smokey bouquet incorporates aromas of boysenberry, molasses and hoisin sauce. Perfectly ripe, lush and balanced flavors of blackberry and plums on the palate prepare you for the velvety, precocious and strong, yet cerebral finish.
