this ship has sailed already...very little fruit left and really no tannins to give it any grip or volume. Meh.

same note as last time this is an enjoyable, if simple, wine. Was well liked by the dinner guests who just enjoy wine but don't necessary geek out on it and yet it's something I can also drink and appreciate

Fresh nose with plum and dark cherry. Medium body, pronounced tannins but still pleasant, needs some air to calm it down. It's a solid approachable wine for the price and I'll pick up some more to open for dinner parties.

Decanted for 2.5 hours and it needed more time. Nose still had some dark cherry, dried leather, a bit of earthly funkness that blew off later. Extremely drinkable, tannins were very mild even with short decant time. Silky full mouth feel with a long finish. Enjoyed it and will try to find some more, great price point for a wine with some age on it.

Really muted nose, but with air some black cherries and dark fruit started coming out, tints of almost black licorice. Medium body with very grippy tannins. Long finish but slight bitterness that never really smoothed out. Other vintages seem to fair better on CT, would probably try another bottle from another year to compare experience.

White wine tasting - BT group (BT): On the nose had toasted apple that calmed down with air. Body was full with some butter and oak but these aren't integrated enough for me to get past the charred/toasty taste. Descent acidity, and surprisingly light body. If it could all come together better probably would have enjoyed it more.

White wine tasting - BT group (BT): This was put in as the ringer during our wine tasting. It's a blend and semi-sweet.

White wine tasting - BT group (BT): Wonderful pale gold color, heavy florals on the nose with primarily rose petals for me. Vibrant body with a bit of spice, melon some peach. Drinks very easily and excellent price point. Enjoyed it.

White wine tasting - BT group (BT): good value chard, I could see myself drinking it causally on patio or at the pool. Heavy pineapple on the nose, low acidity for me with some oak but not overblown. Medium weight body and too creamy on the finish for me. I would buy it again to serve for parties

White wine tasting - BT group (BT): flawed bottle, wet mold sock smell that made it completely impossible to taste

White wine tasting - BT group (BT): ripe green apple smell, too sweet for my tastes but was enjoyed by others in my group that like this style. They felt it was good value for $10 and better then other bottles they buy in the 10-15 range.

More fruit in the nose then the last time, just starting to let some interesting layers come out. Apricot, ripe pear, faint vanilla. Great medium body with just a touch of oak, this is definitely not overdone style. Minerals, flint? wet stone and acidity give it a great weight. Finish was so smooth wow! Not sure I'm going to be able to keep my hands off the remaining bottles. Ryan is doing great stuff with this fruit!

Opened and poured 1 glass recorked and drank 2 nights later. First glass was strawberry nose, juniper berry?, light and lively fruit. Medium body with firm acid and I got nothing but tannins on the finish. 2nd night enjoyed rest of bottle with bone-in pork chop. The tannins had smoothed out a bit but still left me puckering. An enjoyable bottle but not alot going on underneath

Pop 'n pour at tasting at Envy Winery. Nose was very tight straight out the bottle with light plum and meat scents. Dark rich color. Lighter body with a very smooth almost creamy finish that kept going. There is alot of structure here with and could use several hours of air to coax out the expressive fruit. We got to have another taste after about 45mins and the blue fruits were starting to come out. I can't wait to see how this develops with some more time.

Nose opened to a solid aroma of grapefruit and ripe citrus. Nice pale color. Crisp acidity that was a bit racy but calmed down after some glass swirling. Drinks really easily, my taste was done in two sips. As the wine warmed picked up hints of apricot and fig(?) and subtle hint of vanilla cream near the finish. Wonderful and the rest of the bottle was enjoyed on a beautiful Sunday before dinner at Farmstead. (0 views)
