Nice minerality together with red berries. Very tasty but there are better SA cinsault out there...

There is something about this wine I do not appreciate. I love Vouvray and all the flavours that associate with chenin blanc. Yet here there is something artificial or unpure that makes me rate this lower.

Nice toasty oak but not too much. Minerality and good length. Some juicy fruit. Represents a winner in terms of balance for the set of chardonnays from south Africa tested.

Seems a bit less impressive to 2016. Yet the components are in place and will likely develop over the next 2 years or so. Should then be 92+

Finally this seems to come together and the 7 year wait suddenly makes sense. Well defined fruit some maturity great balance and along long taste. I would even say elegant. Perfect drinking window now but will likely last for a long time.

This is a great chardonnay. Well balanced, toasty with some juiciness. Lacks a bit of minerality to bring it over 90. But given the price this is very attractive.

Amazing combination of transparency and focus. Razor sharp fruit mixed with flowers, minerals and spices. In a very good phase.... Bottle was left open for 1-2h and consumed over the next 3 hours. Upon opening a bit closed without the kaleidoscopic fruit which emerged after about 1h. Could also be temp related. Started at 12 degrees C.

In a very nice phase now. Drank 30 min after pop no decant. Fruit and complexity is all there. Transition between primaty and secondary elements can and, I this case, definitely is so seductive. Still perfect balance despite 14.5 %. I will wait a few more years although it is a superb drink at the moment.... had with lamb and creamy thyme sauce....

This drinks superbly at the moment. Mid palate is packed and tadte is long. More finesse than 2009 albeit not the power yet. More balanced than the 2010. Will it improve with time? I would like to know but might not have enough left...wait 2 more years...

Fantastic bottle which seemed more evolved than age would suggest. Saffron, citrus, minerals, razor sharp acidity. Developed midpalate and a taste goes on for ever. What more to ask for?
