SECOND ADDENDUM: Nearly two weeks (13 days) later, the wine had put on weight and displayed more richness. Nice.

Red cherry and spice which follows through on the palate. Very sweet red cherry fruit with a bit of Christmas cake spice. Lacks complexity.

This wine has evolved since I last drank it. Blackberry and Chinese spice, cracked black pepper, tar, oil and smoke on the nose. The palate offers up sweet blackberry and blackcurrant fruits, Chinese spice and pronounced black pepper. Tannins are still present but fine grained. This wine is great now but lots of life ahead of it.

11/5/20, 3:02 AM - @alexide in answer to your question, I've not had this wine since 2017. It was drinking well then and I'm sure it will be even better now as the tannins were still quite prominent then. Let me know and I have one more bottle left!

Tasted blind at a Bacchus night. Dark ruby. Ton going on with a nose of smoke and bonfire, blackcurrant is the dominant fruit plus a squeeze of citrus, cedar, menthol and vanilla. The palate is not quite as exciting as the nose would suggest but there ps blackcurrant, spice, a little bit of heat from the alcohol. Very good indeed.

I can't see what all the fuss is about. This just tastes like cheap sour white wine to me. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, it just isn't very nice. Sorry.

Inky and opaque. Nose is inviting with aromas blackberry, leather, cedar, pine forest, male fragrance. The palate has lots of power with penetrating flavours of blackcurrant, blackberry, spice, clove. Tannins are still present but perfectly integrated. Fantastic wine with amazing intensity of flavour and huge finish. Tasted alongside Calon Segur 02 and it’s won, hands down.

A wine picked by the sommelier at The Yeatman. 100% Baga. Served lightly chilled. Pale, light pinot noir like colour, redcurrant and berry fruit, the wine is very dry on entry, some tannins, the fruit is pretty limited to redcurrant and red cherry. A bit thin and a bit lean.

Dark ruby, tawny edge. Quite fresh, dried herbs on nose. Taste of wonderful black and red fruit, spice, mid sweet, nice tannins. Lovely.
