White - Off-dry
PNP. cork perfect. color straw. nose honeyed pineapple w TDN. swishing shows creamy acidity and light RS. sipping shows great balance and i think that this will continue to evolve in a positive way. yum
Red
PNP. cork perfect. color bricking. nose is cherry tobacco and some oak w a hint of dusty mint. swishing shows stern tannin that seems a little raw. sipping shows intact secondary fruit. sipping this allows fruit to balance but the finish is drying. not sur that this will age gracefully.....i think will always have a tannic edge. that said it is good w beef.
White - Sparkling
I think my previous note captured this. mature and drinks well but on the toasty/yeasty side of development. drink
Red
This was fully mature. totally resolved tannin, and the acid keeps this lively. fruit all secondary now. super polished and amazing with cassoulet.
White - Sparkling
Unlike some of these this shines strongly of riesling. there is a little oxidation but this is pretty freh for its age. drink or hold, but not for a lot longer.
Red
1995 Ridge Geyserville Sonoma County Zinfandel Blend, Zinfandel (view label images)
Drank this for thanksgiving dinner and it is fully mature. was good with a smoked duck. would prefer this with a steak based dinner.
White
tasted this side by side with th '14. this is good but not in the same ilk. more fruit forward and less structured in the mouth. this actually harmonized with the smoked salmon. very good
White
This was fantastic with oysters. still has the acid cut and the fruit explodes after a briny oyster. will hold for a long time.

White
PNP. color gold. nose has a whiff of bandaid on opening that blows off later. nose has citrus peel and some nut aroma. swishing shows creamy acidity that coats the mouth and acid propels the finish. good but seems pretty advanced for its age. drink now.
Red
PNP. cork wet 10% and soft. Color edges starting to turn but mostly light garnet. Nose has plum and five spice with hint of cinnamon. Swishing this shows spicy tannin and mild acid but these are mostly subdued by the med body fruit. sipping shows great integration. super polished finish. really nice right now...not sure i will wait a long time to drink this vintage cause these are great now
Red
Found two more bottles at SEC. My previous tasting notes pretty much say it all, except that now i sense that this is on the verge of decline. drink
Red
PNP. cork mushy but wet only 20% up and totally intact. Nose has all secondary aroma dominating the cherry core. Swishing this shows some spicy tannin but this is almost completely resolved - still enough to leave a little tingle on the back of the tongue. Sipping this shows a fuly mature resolved syrah that is gorgeous. Steve Edmunds really knows his stuff....
Red
2015 Château Bellevue Peycharneau Bordeaux Supérieur Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
Needed something easy to match with lamb chops. this is purplish in the glass and dominated by the merlot which is the biggest component here (80%-duh). easy to drink and enjoyable, although not built for the long haul
Red
as before this is lighter in style than i was expecting.....really very nice tonight with simple food.
Red
brief note. we enjoyed this a lot. cork perfect. this had great cherry fruit. good polish but at the end the alcohol while integrated peeked out.
looking forward to tracking this over time.
White
PNP. color straw w pinkish component. cork perfect. from a black glass. nose has white wine notes. definitely would have guessed this as a white varietal but hard pressed to identify which. swishing shows some acidity but a little oxidation and a lengthy finish that is unique to me. sipping shows polish and length, some more earthiness that helps define it as pinot but this would be a challenge to the most experienced i think. interesting and still quite good.
Red
brief note - restaurant purchase. PNP. color dark. fruit is ripe and rich. despite the alcohol that peeks out a little this is pretty well balanced. the fruit really buries the structure. i think that this will hang in there for quite awhile.
Red
PNP. cork perfect.color is light ruby. nose with ripe strawberry and and cherry. swishing shows solid acidity and tannin most evident on finish. sipping shows good polish and bright cherry fruit. this benefits from air and given its structure i think will be fine for several years in the cellar, and in fact will probably improve. i love what they are doing.
Red
PNP.
cork perfect. color shows no age. the alcohol tells of warm climate. swishing shows mostly acid structure with the tannin buried under fruit peeking out in finish. tannin seems to be fruit based and not oak. sipping shows polish. this was delish tonight with a salmon dish. i think drinking very well and not sure that there is upside to waiting.
Red
2015 Ampeleia Ampeleia Costa Toscana SuperTuscan Blend (view label images)
PNP. Cork perfect. color dark ruby. there is telltale cab franc here with tobacco and roasted bell pepper. agree with previous tasters that this smells heavy but tastes light. great acidity and mellow tannin structure. bright fruit. delish
Red
PNP. cork perfect. color ruby. i am recovering from a cold so my sniffer is a little off. this seems a little on the alcoholic side but there is ample fruit and glycerin with a smooth finish. swishing shows mostly alcohol (I think that this is me). i like this but need to retaste with better senses.
White
straw colored. a little oaky but two nights later was delicious.
White
This is very nice. there is very good balance between the remaining RS and acidity. will age nicely but drinking well now
White - Off-dry
This is like a dessert wine in sweetness.
there is some acidity but it is overwhelmed by RS.
Red
this was superb tonight with seared duck breast. mostly tannin structure and fruit more rich than i was expecting. showing some signs of age and not sure how this will hold up so will drink last bottle soon
Red
PNP. cork perfect. color garnet with a hint of purple edges. nose has ripe bright red fruits and a little pepper. swishing shows great fruit and mostly tannin structure that lingers on the finish. sipping shows more polish and more length than expected. blind would never have guessed this to be 4 years old. i like it tonight and if i had more would drink near term.
Red
PNP. cork perfect. nose has dusty fruit tinged with green epper and tobacco. on second night the fruit was more dominant but the secondaries were still present. swishing shows polished red fruit with both acid and sprite tannin. sipping shows the polish and balance. the tannin lingers but keeps the fruit lively. i like this wine, and prefer it to the pinot from same vintage. would drink youngish
Red
PNP. cork perfect.color light ruby. nose shows earthy cherry and some aclohol. swishing shows acid and zippy tannins. sipping shows some polished bright red fruit with glycerin and modest finish.
White
nope. too much sulfite and acidity. i think that it is the closure - if the sulfur could escape this would probably be good. with air barely tolerable. even after a night i am not interested
Red
brief note. this is light and bright, but a little boozy. great with food, and the cherry fruit dominated palate when enjoyed with duck. fun.
White
brief note. cork was perfect. this is chalky and dense. drinking well now, and won't wait to see if this improves with time. very good now
White
brief note. this is light and lively, great acidity and just a hint of RS that smooths it out. n reason to wait - this is good near termandnot sure how it will progress
Red
PNP. cork wet almost to top but intact. color browning. nose dominated by five spice and some rhubarb and vague fruit. swishing shows persistent acid with some tannin bringing up the rear. there is also some alcohol in here that shines on the finish. really delicious tonight with duck legs. i think will drink remaining '07 cristom wines near term as they seem on the verge
White - Off-dry
PNP. cork intact. color gold. nose has pineapple, citrus peel and some green spice i can't nail down. some ginger too. swishing shows good acid spine that persists on the finish. sipping shows RS but tonight it is not as prominent as it was last summer. shows better lightly chilled. good but stick by my prev conclusion that this will deteriorate before it esterifies . will continue to drink these with spicy food near term.

tasty. light and bright cherry predominates. there is the telltale german spiciness. polished finish that suggests RS but designated "trocken". quite nice

sadly this one was corked
White
love this wine. served with haddock topped with olives and lemon. matched it stride for stride.
White
just goes to show that even an amazing producer can't convince me to like Sauvignon blanc. if you like SB this one is textbook.
White
PNP. cork perfect. this is another good vintage. nose showing candied citrus. sipping has solid creamy acidity - super clean with terse fruity finish that is moderately lenghty. sipping shows a little more fat and great blanace. reminds me of 2014. perfect match for paella.
Rosé - Sparkling
Disgorged 5/15 -last bottle of this disgorgement. this one is showing a little age. softer and creamier than at first release. if yu hav this bottling would recommend drinking near term

Red
PNP. cork perfect. color garnet with just a hint of brick at edge. nose tonight reminiscent of cru beaujolais w some fruit and a whiff of bandaid. guessing that this has seen carbonic maceration (at least some of it). when i swish i get good acid structure and then the bell pepper defines the wine. there is cherry and nice polish when sipping, and a glycerin laden finish with interlaced tannin brining up the rear.
this still has plenty left in the tank but is drinking very well now. improved with air and time i think so would decant of drinking again near term but alas my last bottle so not my opportunity :(.
White
light and dry and easy. great solution looking for a hot porch
Red
starts out a little stinky but then the reduction blows off and this is just good old fashioned cherry fruit with earthy background. delish for everynight drinker
Red
Brief note. this is earthy but has bright fruit and great lift on the palate. i think in a more delicate style than arnot roberts but frankly there aren't too many of these around to be making side by side comparisons. very tasty
Red
Very good. still showing some reduction but much less than before. drinking well bu can hold
Red
PNP. cork perfect. This was something special. Fully resolved structure and still with fruit to spare. was a little funky at first but that blew right off and what was left was classic aged syrah. this is drinking beautifully but will hold a while longer.
Red
2004 Domaine Arlaud Charmes-Chambertin Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir (view label images)
PNP. Cork perfect. color showing age. CC mistook this for new world with some age, and i must admit that blind i wold agree. definitely missing the green quality that plagues 2004. even if i had guessed old world i would have never guessed the vintage. delicious
