paid like $135 for this at DaDong in Beijing....which was painful, very pure albiet fairly simple nose and palate of red cherry fruit, decent balance, medium acidity, there's really nothing wrong with it, just fairly simple.

Took over an hour to open up, was almost benign out of the bottle, but after some time exhibited a black fruit nose, subtle earthiness and cedar. Medium body and medium acidity, there's a core of black fruit, But is lacking a sense of individuality and is very primal. The mid-palate is muddled and the finish is liquId smooth as the tannins have resolve significantly. I'm going to let 1/2 the bottle sit for a day and revisit

8/25/15, 11:03 PM - It never really developed into what I would've hoped I'm going to give the remaining bottles for which I do have quite a few some more time but if you have one and open it, would you love to hear your thoughts.

Delicate, yet expressive nose of white flowers and flowered tea. Palate is considerably acidic, there's a purity here that was predominant for the first few hours after it was opened, but with some time, it really became expressive with notes of tart Apple, pear and a touch of vanilla. Should evolve into something quite nice.

Popped and poured....soy sauce, black olive and herbal (eucalyptus) on the nose. Anise, dark cherry and blackberry, leather and bell pepper. Primarily secondary characteristics, drink up.

3/5/13, 9:58 PM - Thanks, I have two more bottles, will be interested to see if they are different. I opened the 2000 on Saturday and it was a massive wine showing a ton of fruit. I'll post a note on it as well, when I have a moment.
