Big bold, herbal notes. Black and red cherries. However I believe this is a few years past it's prime. Starting to get that prune, brick taste going on

Drank over three days. Even on day one, I could tell this was past it's prime. Became more astringent and more tastes of prunes as time went on.

Nose of lemon lime zest and an herbal, hard cheese

Tastes of pink grapefruit on the finish. Slight effervescence. Very little taste in the mid palate. Find this to be very underwhelming except for hints of blood orange

Very fine tannins with a dry finish on the front/mid palate.

Really nicely integrated. Fine tannins and medium body with a touch of acidity for complexity.

Tastes of tart cherry, boysenberry, some hints of earthy forest floor.

Best on day 2. Would consider it in prime drinking window

Truffles and miss notes on the nose

Tastes of tart cherries, tomato, herbs and leather. Very acidity driven. Fine tannins with a nice 20 second finish.

This has aged nicely and can probably go another year.

Straight forward and not overly complex. Tastes of dark cherries, green pepper. Has picked up secondary earthy notes as time has gone by. Some drying, puckering tannins on the finish. Still Drinkable

Great balance of bright cherries, cola and high toned earthy notes. Just enough acidity to keep it fresh on the palate. Hints of pine straw and smoke on the finish. Really in a nice drinking window but clearly has the structure to go another 3 - 4 years.

Cherry, strawberry, smoke, spices, and tea notes on the palate. Really enjoyed this wine. It's what I loved about Wes' style at Clos Pepe.

Last bottle of three. Has continued to mellow. Still has enjoyable red fruits on the palate. Not much "earthly" tones, acidity or tannins left. Drink up if you have any.

Nose: initial impressions were of lots of barnyard funk, hay, stewed tomatoes and green peppers.

Palate: fairly light on the palate with fine tannins. A little coy in terms of nothing overwhelming across the palate. Hints of raspberries

Nose: dark cherry, smoky against a backdrop of vegetable and hay notes

Palate: fairly linear and one dimensional. High toned, Green pepper and vegetable tastes. Lacks balance as the tannins are medium dry and the wine lacks enough fruit notes to balance it out

Still in a nice drinking window. Some tart cherry and hints of mushroom, earthy notes. Not a fruit bomb by any stretch, however it does have some persistence the finish. I don't see these getting any better but should be good for another year.

Color is a light pink with a touch of orange.

Tastes of tangerine, rose petals, hibiscus. Drank just below room temperature which really allows the wine to open up. Palate is broad and creamy and has a good 20 second finish.

While it can be drank as a stand alone Rose, this wine would go best with light appetizer and creamy, soft cheese.

First of four bottles

Nose: silky, black fruits. Black cherry with a touch of pine
Palate: took about 30 - 45 minutes to open up. Very smooth and a good 20 second finish. Tastes of black currant, roasted root vegetables, sort of a flowery/earthy component. Tannins are well integrated.

This wine is in a great spot. Could age another few years if you like your wines to not have as much primary fruit notes. Otherwise, go ahead and drink in next 12 months.

Cranberry, cherry and we'll rounded spices that remind me of a fall potpourri mix. A fairly big, fruity wine with being overly extracted. Finishes with notes of pomegranate on the palate.

Big enough to go well with a rich cream sauce or turkey and gravy.

Found this enjoyable on the second night so could probably go another 2 years.

Fruit was fresher on the palate with about 30min decant but as the night wore on, the wine became a little one dimensional.
