Clearly best of the evening, classic superb claret. Opened with my grandson this is his birth year.

Big wine, good but not my favorite style. Needs 4-5 years minimum.

Glad to taste this, don’t normally get to source this very often. I think I will make the effort as it is the kind of elegant Cabernet I like.

Big wine but unresolved. Lots of structure and fruit in the prune direction.

Big wine no where near aging prime. Absolutely wonderful but sorry it was opened so soon.

This could still age a bit but it was excellent with a simple roasted tomato pasta and salad lunch.

This one those reasonably priced wines that hit far higher. Made a frittata, broccoli, onions, sun dried tomato, mushrooms and potatoes. Bit of cheddar and dinner. Perfect wine. Complex and dark, but supple and lingering. The best of Grenache.

Rich and supple, dark concentrated fruit 14.5% alcohol, dark chocolate and dark cherry, slight dusty tannins, clean balance and chocolate linger. Truly lovely.

Could finish a glass, but that is it. Very mild fruit, clean decent but so flat that is comes across as sweet water. Desperately needs balance.

I am busy drinking this one up while it is so nice, it is too complex for just pasta, its needs something like sausage and hearty broth. One more bottle remaining. Maybe a lamb daube next.

Color is strong, balance lovely and just the edge of tannin to give substance. Long rich finish.

Only slightly better than the Votre Sante of the same vintage, a little more weight and substance but still lacking much of an aromatic personality. AS the Votre Sante very drinkable however Dutton Pinot should have some aromatic personality.

Highly drinkable, nicely balanced, full bodied and resolve tannins, but very modest agreeable aromatics. This is a wine that works with the meal and does not go further.

Nice red wine that is lovely and balanced in the mouth, but beyond the light/moderate color I would only be guessing to call it Pinot Noir. Essentially no nose beyond a mild vinous and no after taste beyond acidity. That said I would probably refill my glass if the conversation or dinner was still strong. Probably would leave the balance of the bottle on the table after dinner.

Time to be consumed, still very nice but it is fully evolved and totally delious. Good acidity, nice linger, tannins resolved. Not the most expressive wine but still complete.

This bottle is not from my cellar although I do have some. We are out for dinner and I grabbed a bottle from my wine merchant. Bright cherry with some tannin, not necessarily classic Dolcetto, too bright and too clean but totally worked with the dinner. I would delay having another to next spring I think will evolve more.

Did’t write my notes the first night. This a big solid wine that I thought might be a bit more expressive the second night. Right and wrong. The second night with some leftover bean casserole and a NY Steak it is a solid massive developed wine that has achieved the point of tannin resolution and works so well against the steak. Plenty of acid but no real nose beyond what we used to call vineous. Good wine good dinner. Time to be consumed.

Dark but less than I expected, the oak is forward but not overwhelming and more sweet spice than smoke. Ample acid and still tannic I probably opened this 2 years early. Overall very good fruit, clean with a lovely plum and cherry note, nothing rustic. Entertaining finish that entices another sip.

Perfect foil for the lamb, flavors without being overbearing. Fresh and full, time to drink this as that is its best charm.

Perfectly developed and a hit at the table, all the Chablis points and for some it was hard to believe that it was a 2015. I am going to serve this for Thanksgiving.

Monthly Tasting at Wine Wizards (Wine Wizards Stockton): Almost half price at $24, really very, very lovely but almost never serve dessert wines anymore, we could have a full discussion why?

Highly recommend

Monthly Tasting at Wine Wizards (Wine Wizards Stockton): A lighter supple red that would go well with seafood, clean finish and well balanced. At $17 solid but anonymous, worth a flyer if you want something new. I have had this Basque red in Pamplona and I think that you need to be there to really appreciate it. Working on that.

Monthly Tasting at Wine Wizards (Wine Wizards Stockton): Tasted last month also, Really a solid classic Loire CF. Having looked at my cellar I passed because I have a good stock of similar CF and I will drink my cellar instead for the moment. That said, I do recommend this wine to all who love a steak and pomme frites.

Monthly Tasting at Wine Wizards (Wine Wizards Stockton): I want to support local wineries and this is a good wine but for $30 or less I can get far better Sangiovese. No flaws in this wine except for the integration of flavors. The cherry is there, the spice of wood is there, the tannin is there and they are not in total harmony. I would not avoid this wine on a wine list, it would good to try it over a meal and down the road it may come together. As for now not for my cellar.

Monthly Tasting at Wine Wizards (Wine Wizards Stockton): Lovely wine far better that the previous month. Classic profile and great linger, definite aging potential. I did't buy because I am well stocked on Chablis and I am trying work down my inventory. Probably will be sorry but will save the $35 a bottle for another time.

Monthly Tasting at Wine Wizards (Wine Wizards Stockton): Full bodied, off dry but acid balanced, very developed and supple, the nose is creamy with a slight hint of caramel. Pleasant (but not particularly distinct) right now for $11, but I am not sure that it has much time left that it will be like that.

Solid lush red, soft and full. Not much fruit left, has a plastic plug that has prematurely aged it. Still it is full, soft developed wine, perfect with the pasta I made.

Halfway to vingar, received it as a gift recently. The producer is a local Olive Oil business primarily and just started with wines. Need to talk to them, this was awful and makes me doubt their winemaker, never should have been bottled.

Tasting and dinner with my grandson who works for Delicato. Wanted him to see a properly aged Syrah. This was perfect, absolutely at peak. We also tasted the last of a bottle of 2016 Cornas, I had preserved. Which was wonderful but more youthful.

Almost two years since I first tasted and purchased, and five years since it was made, this is still a young wine. The tannins are mostly resolved but in general the wine is quite fresh and bright, more like a 2019 than a 2016. Medium dark and very intensely flavored, at the same time fairly supple with a lingering finish.

So it was delicious with lamb and white beans, I have decided it is ready. Have a plan to serve it to some friends at a dinner soon.

Mildly floral nose that definitely says Riesling, much more vivid in the mouth, white peach and lemon blossom. Sweet but very balanced. Absolutely delicious.

So many good notes from other tasters I can only concur. My bottle was very nicely developed, more claret than Merlot. Dinner was a throw together pasta at my youngest daughter’s , sausage, kale, mirepoix, and a jar of sauce off the shelf. Wonderful and fully developed
