Perfection. Opulent and mature, but still vibrant and fresh.
The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like acacia, honeysuckle, peach blossom, mango, melon, petrol, mineral and lemon.

Bbq chicken skewers, bbq corn, zucchini, spicy tomato sauce and aioli. The wine handled this motley crew splendidly

The nose made promises that the taste did not deliver. Classic Italian bouquet with leather, dark cherries and some thinner. Unfortunately the taste was too sweet and jammy.

Straight forward and proper Cali cab. With some time and air it started to get a bit too sweet

Syrah singing all the notes you like. Packed with chewy small black olives and herbs of every kind. Made the Easter lamb very happy.

A wonderful wine. Nothing fancy, but everything I want it to be. Think of it like the rough cousin of sherry and vin jaune. Oxidation, funkiness and character.

I've had quite a few vintages of this wine and it's usually among my favourites. However this time it was a disappointment. None of the usual herb notes were there and instead it leaned heavily towards lavender and violet. I don't know if this is the vintage or my bottle being in a weird phase.

Decent, but not great. Drink up, it's not gonna get better.

Drinking beautifully right now. Middle weight on the lighter side, juicy black and red cherries, a hint of cranberries and integrated tannins.

Still remarkably young and primary. Grippy tannins, lovely cherries and herbs.

Petroleum, jasmine, pears and sap. Paired it with pan seared salmon, sweet potato fries, cabbage and orange salad and a spicy gochujang mayo.

The wine looks straw colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like sherry, walnut, hay/straw, forest floor and apple.

Really good showing tonight - fruity, structured yet generous. It sang nicely to my home made langoustine risotto and fennel salad.

Spot on when it vines to my riesling preferences. Herby, yellow fruit, harmonious and with a little sweetness lingering. Served with salmon, white asparagus and Hollandaise.

Sometimes you crave a nutty oaky chard. This hits the spot. Paired to perfection with cod, browned butter, shrimps and horseradish.

Sometimes Bdx just overwhelmes with how good it is. This was one of those nights. The wine is archetypal Bdx smack bang in the middle of its drinking window. Paired with filet of lamb, chimichurri and potato gratin it is just a dream.

Pure. That’s the word that pops into mind when trying to describe this wine. From the translucent ruby color to the cranberry freshness in the mouth.

Light and fresh. Had a rather muted nose to start with, needed a couple of hours in opened bottle to bloom.

Extremely opulent when opened, with heavy maraschino cherry vibes. Decanted for an hour and it mellowed out considerably. Well structured with almost Bdx feel.

Smack in the middle of the drinking window. Lively fruit but showing some signs of maturity. A pitch perfect cranberry not shines throughout the experience. Well balanced tannins and nice autumn notes. Matched it with Swedish meatballs, gravy and lingonberry jam <3

Needs some time to come together, but all the parts are there.
Toasty oak, prime dark fruit and high drinkability. Not too surprising, the last glass was really shining.

Shy to start with, but this is a real beauty. High acidity, complex with great structure. Feels younger than it is.

A bit thin. Sweet spot is around 14-15 degrees, when oaky fatness and fruit starts showing.

Too young. Quality is obvious, but hard to tell how good this will turn out.

A real eye opener. Would have guessed a mature white Rioja or Bordeaux if blinded. Mature yet lush fruit on the tropical side paired with luxurious oak. A wine for contemplation.

This vintage has begun to show it's true colours. Red fruits, minerals and beautiful barrel oak. A pleasure to drink in big gulps and probably the best bang for buck in my cellar right now.

Drank over three nights. A little to oaky and sweet on the fruit for my taste but improved in second and third day, so might just need more time to get everything in place.

Somewhat of a disappointment. Even if I can see the underlying qualities, it is not what I want from a barolo. Clumsy and heavy handed, with too much oak and high fruit extraction. After an hour or so the nose was completely dominated by browned butter, almost salt caramel.
