Needs about half an hour to open up to a beautiful nose of red berries, strawberries, and oak. Lovely elegance on the palate, fine soft tannins, reminds me of a Pomerol with new world touch but with finese of a great Pomerol. Dark red berries on the finish and a long fresh juicy finish. Very good.

12/4/13, 6:25 PM - This bottle was from a friend who visited Verite few months back and bought it from their library stock. Although it wasn't a long decant, but I did find primary merlot characteristics, very right much right bank than left type style. Only found out after it was 64/28 cab/merlot. Nevertheless this was really good, and probably not at peak yet imho.
