9/18/23, 11:42 AM - Next time decant, because of a lot of sediment in the bottle.
6/19/23, 9:39 AM - Your tasting note is rather short, but actually spot on.
4/10/23, 9:11 AM - Exactly
12/30/22, 8:13 AM - Appellation, not designation
12/30/22, 9:11 AM - I just wanted to point out Franciacorta is an appellation (since 1967 btw) and not a designation.
12/9/22, 5:59 AM - Misschien toch dit eens bekijken, want "lekker en evenwichtig" verdient een hogere score dan 75: https://support.cellartracker.com/article/49-tasting-notes-and-ratings
12/9/22, 8:10 AM - 👍
11/24/22, 7:06 AM - A rather low score for this positive tasting note.
6/2/22, 3:27 AM - I did indeed bought a case of this.I also got the Guide Hachette 2022 to explore. The 3 stars "exceptionnel" is indeed an exceptional score in this guide.
1/31/22, 6:14 AM - Paul, do you know if this is this actually made by "bleeding" of the colour from the skins or rather by adding some red wine in the blend as is usually done to obtain a rosé champagne?
1/31/22, 6:39 AM - Thanks. Learned something...
10/19/21, 6:52 AM - Just wanted to say that most here in CT would not award "decent" and the other terms used in the tasting note with a mere 76.
8/12/21, 2:02 PM - May I ask where you tasted this wine, please? As I understand from the producer this wine, vintage 2020, is normally bottled approximately in July 2022.Whas it a barrel sample?
8/13/21, 9:20 AM - And cheers to you!
7/29/21, 4:31 AM - Gambero Rosso 3, which would indeed correspond (for me) to your score and TN.The use of these heavy bottles is indeed an issue and it's not limited any longer to southern Italians with idiotically high Maroni scores.
5/18/21, 3:26 AM - Did you succeed in getting more?I could not. My shop is sold out.
4/30/21, 8:16 AM - Mistake? Not a Barolo?
5/1/21, 5:55 AM - OK. Thank you for clarifying that. It's a language issue apparently.
4/30/21, 12:29 PM - This is the "big brother"!
4/21/21, 3:08 AM - If it is the Riserva 2013 you can insert it there and not in 2014.
3/19/21, 11:30 AM - Any specific reason you have to call this a baby?
3/19/21, 3:33 AM - May be difficult to find this in any shop soon, since according to the producers website the last Grand Vintage produced was the 2012.
3/3/21, 7:55 AM - It is a good QPR, but not exceptional.
2/22/21, 1:44 AM - JoostenTamara: Dankjewel, thank you for your comment. You do have a point, which is also expressed in my 92 rating.I still have the Elisa 2016 to taste soon.
2/22/21, 2:51 AM - The Cichin? No, never had that one.
2/3/21, 1:51 AM - No real changes the next day.
1/31/21, 3:19 AM - Do I understad correctly you tasted this wine 5 times over a period of less than 2 months and your ratings go from 96 down to 85 over this period?
1/7/21, 12:21 AM - Score and text do not really correspond, I think. Maybe check this: https://support.cellartracker.com/article/49-tasting-notes-and-ratings
12/28/20, 12:10 PM - "These good Italian wines"? The variety may originally be from Italy, but the wine is all American.
12/27/20, 5:41 AM - Indeed, this should not be available yet. Plenty of bottles of 2017 Brunello in CT at this moment (Dec 2020), while it should only be released in Jan 2022. "Montalcino" on a bottle does not mean it is a Brunello!
11/29/20, 5:55 AM - Funny, but "nothing not to dislike" to me means the same as "nothing to like". Maybe you mean to say "nothing to dislike" or "nothing not to like"?
11/29/20, 9:10 AM - Yep, has happened to me as well...
11/29/20, 2:14 AM - Excellent and a score of 82? Seems incompatible to me.
10/16/20, 2:07 PM - The older TN (a year before mine), combines the word "majestic" (as only text) with an 84 rating. I just don't understand.
10/4/20, 1:48 AM - Could it be this TN is not actually about the Amarone?
9/10/20, 2:19 AM - Indeed hard to understand any rating by Luca Maroni. In my experience a high LM rating is a sign to avoid that wine, unless you like alcoholic fruit juice a lot.
9/8/20, 11:29 AM - 2019 vintage???
1/7/20, 7:56 AM - Have you tasted the 2016 and 2017 vintages? And this is a Brunello? I was thinking release of a Brunello is in practice early January of the vintage year +5.
8/9/20, 1:09 AM - Sorry
7/14/20, 2:36 AM - Fantastic and flawed at the same time? Weird.
7/11/20, 2:29 AM - Actually this CT entry is a friulano, not a sauvignon.
5/28/20, 10:31 AM - The score of 95 I had for this wine at first was a typo. Corrected a few days later
5/27/20, 1:38 AM - Vintage 2019 tasted in February 2020???
5/27/20, 1:36 AM - Not vintage 2019, I suppose?
5/27/20, 1:35 AM - Vintage 2019 champagne is not released yet in March 2020. Probably you tasted the non-vintage.
5/27/20, 1:17 AM - Maybe you could tell us what you liked about it?
5/27/20, 12:57 AM - Was this a barrel sample? The bottles should only be released in 2021 according to the applicable rules for Barolo.
5/26/20, 3:39 AM - I am puzzled. Really a 2018 Amarone? Should not be released yet, I thought.
5/26/20, 3:27 AM - Most probably this is not the Amarone that you tasted. An Amarone is released at the earliest on the first of January in the vintage year plus 3. This means a 2018 Amarone is only available in 2021.Reference: https://italianwinecentral.com/denomination/amarone-della-valpolicella-docg/
5/24/20, 2:14 AM - No, this time I do not follow Gambero Rosso where it made the finals.
5/8/20, 6:37 AM - Croatina or nebbiolo?
4/24/20, 2:58 PM - Oops, sitting in the sun and typing the note on my phone is not good practice. Sorry, Corrected. Thank you both for being so attentive.
3/21/20, 6:43 AM - I always enjoy your inventive and humorous TNs, so I would be one of the ten.Just wanted to say that in Spanish 'vino brisado' is a wine made from white grapes with prolonged skin contact. The Catalan term is 'vi brisat'. Apparently the terms 'brisado' and 'brisat' are now used to indicate an orange wine in Spain and Catalunya.
3/11/20, 5:56 AM - In principle a tasting note should be about tasting impressions, not describing how the wine is made.Normaal gezien beschrijft een proefnotitie de smaakindrukken van de wijn en niet het productieproces.
3/15/20, 4:38 PM - Thanks HomerJust eager to know your opinion on the wine. I do agree this is useful information. Looking forward to the actual TN.
3/15/20, 4:45 PM - Akward change of subject...
3/15/20, 5:29 PM - Right
2/29/20, 12:07 PM - Judging from earlier tasting notes from others here, it seems they have toned down the flavours to produce a less outspoken fruity and acidic and more refined sparkler with more emphasis on the refinement yielded by the classic method.
2/28/20, 1:09 AM - Is it actually their other wine, the "Montevetrano Colli di Salerno" which James Suckling rated at 98? The "Core" got 94, I think.
2/6/20, 2:21 AM - Any Trento DOC is cellared for at least 15 months before release. This means a 2019 is not available in January 2020. This must have been the non-vintage, disgorged in 2019.
2/6/20, 2:16 AM - Perfect? Rather absurd to drink a 2019 champagne in 2019. NV disgorged in 2019?
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
