Surprisingly bright and light, red fruit, a little mushroom. It improved in depth with air, and was still improving after 4 hours open. Nose was a little tight at first, but became expressive, red fruit, berry, mushroom, forest floor. Plenty of life left!

Bright lemon and brioche. Fine mousse. Delectable acid. This is much better than the last bottle I had a couple years ago.

Perfect drinking window. Rich, graphite, licorice, oak vanilla, brambly berry flavors, sweet at first, and more savory with air. Well integrated tannins.

I thought this one would be way over the hill, but it still was quite enjoyable. Mineral driven, with plenty of acid, and still a pretty nose. My overwhelming comment is that it remains a very clean wine on the palate, it is more enjoyable than I expected.

I really enjoyed this wine. Not terribly complex nor terribly long in the finish, but just delicious and enjoyable. Worth double the price.

I'm giving too many points here, just because it turned out way more delicious than expected, still had some red fruit, and was overall quite enjoyable. Was it great in absolute terms? No. But for what it was, it was great.

Vanilla, Licorice, and mint on the nose. Vanilla, sweet red berries, and leather on the palate, and just a touch of tannin in the finish. Medium bodied. Soft, supple mouthfeel. Finish a bit abbreviated. Gained richness with air, and the aggressive vanilla notes subsided after about an hour open. May be a bit past its prime, or maybe it's just how the wine is, but very enjoyable. Drink up.

Took a full 24 hours to really reach its prime. Initially thin and tart, but with air gains enough depth and richness to achieve some balance. Ended up a strawberry bomb with brambly floral overtones. Still light-bodied, but enjoyable. A good afternoon quaffer but make sure to open it well in advance

Black fruit, milk chocolate, graphite on the palate. moderate tannins. Silky mouthfeel. Probably a little bit younger than I would have preferred, but still very good.

Right after I opened it, it gave a lovely bouquet and a palate of bright red fruit... but within minutes the freshness disappeared, leaving a dark, figgy, lifeless wine. Some pleasant tannins on the palate, but otherwise poor. It's not flawed, just ... not good. I think I'm going to make a sauce out of it.

Drinking beautifully now. Still a lovely garnet, a little bit of 'age' blew off quickly after opening. Great aromatics -- herbs and savory, grilled aromas, with dried flowers. Palate has mouth watering acidity, fine tannins that seem to concentrate on the fore palate, fruits veering toward the dark end of the spectrum. Just lovely right now! So sad this is my last bottle.

Good, not mind blowing. As it should be -- minerally with acid beginning to relax. Paired well with herbed cod dish.

Bottle slightly flawed -- cork failed, leaving a more rapidly aged bottle than expected. A bit oxidized. Drinkable, but underwhelming.

Incredible wine. Viscous, syrupy in texture. Golden amber in color. Layers of apricot, baked pear, honey, grapefruit, a tinge of tannin and even a bit saline on the finish. A bit on the heavy side, but still with plenty of acid to keep it from getting weighed down. Fantastic.

Floral, spicy, earthy nose with a minerally, black cherry palate. Simple wine, lacking in intensity. Popped with italian takeout, which was fine.

Rich, sweet black fruit with black pepper and brambly flavors. Needed a couple hours to really open up (tasted a little cooked prior to that). Not super high QPR, but delicious nonetheless.

Nice sweet, earthy, perfumed nose, but a bit thin and acidic on the palate. I wish it had gone more toward the new-world syrah focusing on deep, plush, blue fruit; it lacked the earthy, fatty, or herbal flavors I like from the Rhone too. Overall, just OK.

Well made, luscious mouthfeel. Figgy, tar, anise on the nose. Big oaky raisin and fig on the palate. Just a little too cooked tasting for my preference.

Nice wine, drinking well, probably not going to get a whole lot better. Acid fully resolved, still tannic. By the time the tannins soften, I think the acid will be gone and the wine will seem flaccid. My advice, drink soon. Garnet color, not much bricking yet at all, note of berry, black fruit, eucalyptus, dried flowers. Palate is medium-rich, with black cherry, blackberry, mint, cocoa. Medium-short finish. Really started to lose power and intensity after a couple hours of opening the bottle. After 4 hours, tannics were aggressive, and the fruit had died off.

Really nice wine, good representation of what it is. Bright red/orange, good clarity. A bit tight on opening, with tart cherry and cedar notes, very tannic. Over 2-4 hours of air, sweet cherry, cedar, cocoa, flowers emerged. Not super complex, but very enjoyable. The floral aromas and softening of the wine at hour four was really fantastic. I enjoyed my last glass more than any other.

Nice purity and clarity. A well stored bottle throughout its life. Cork was saturated but no seepage. Bright red in color, with a tinge of brick/orange on the edge. Aromas a strawberry, mushroom, forest floor. Palate still youthful, bright, strawberry/berry flavors with leather, mushroom, a bit of spice. Tasty wine. Got better with a couple hours of air. A bit tight on opening, fruit rounded out, acid subsided a bit, and some creamy notes emerged after a few hours. This wine would benefit from decanting. Plenty of life left.

Dark purple in color, medium body. Palate-driven wine. Black fruit and flowers on the nose. Palate of back fruit with chocolate, oyster sauce, vegetal notes, coffee grounds, dusty tannins, a bit of herbs and spearmint. I would say it's more 'interesting' than good. Unusually nuanced and savory for Argentine malbec. I can't say I really like it, but it was interesting to drink over the course of several hours.

Brooding, sultry wine. Expressive nose of cedar, licorice, mushroom, damp earth, dark black fruit. Silky, bitter tannins, soft yet still with grip. On the palate medium to light body, with black fruit, more wet earth. This wine has gone through several phases, fairly primary when first openend, about 2 hours after opening it went through a dumb phase, and then about 3 hours in, it became extremely expressive, adding black cherry and woody flavors. A couple times the palate had a distinct metallic note to it, but it came and went. Overall, a very interesting wine, a great one to ponder slowly, over several hours.

A real stunner. Waves of lemon zest, grapefruit, pears, wet stone, a hint of mint?, linger on the palate. Beautiful verve, a long mineral-drenched palate. This wine lived up to its billing.

Full of cedar and ripe cherry, aggressively (and pleasurably) tannic. Some nice herbal notes on the nose, the palate feigns sweetness before giving way to rocky, dusty tannins. Light body, yet penetrating flavor, if one-dimensional. Doesn't really evolve on the palate, and the finish is a bit truncated. More 'enjoyable' than 'refined'.

Viscous, syrupy pear and floral notes. Initial (unappealing) petrol nose dissipated and gave way to heady sweet floral nose. Lightly golden in color. I wonder if my bottle had been mishandled a little. It lacked in the expected depth and complexity.
