This winery always impresses me. In full bloom now and seems to have at least 3 years in fine form.

Excellent "Wine 101" example to learn about the individual varietals so common in Portuguese table wine.

Elegant with a great balance between Touriga National and Roriz, etc. Has considerable aging potential. QPR = OK

MRGeo's note captures this wine perfectly. A beguiling, very well made wine with an appearance that suggests light weight but is not a light weight wine. A rather remarkable contrast to the usual Zin experience. Buy more and let them develop.

A fine wine that mostly still delivers. While there are no hints of tannins, the structure is mostly still present. Drink ASAP to enjoy what is left of the wine.

A great Tejo wine with a note of cinnamon on the nose, followed by a medium bodied, well balanced mix of berries, a bit of minerality, and touches of savory flavors. The touriga nacionale flavors we present but did not overwhelm the more interesting castelao varietal. The Alicante varietal added not only great color, but complexity, and a deep, full finish. Will watch for this wine in the future.

Spectacular. Wine of the week. Decanted half for two hours; other half slow oxed in the bottle. A very fun taste-off of two very different profiles consistent with BHRH note below for taste profiles. I lean towards the decanted for a more developed deeper flavor profile with interesting mineral notes.

A great touriga nacional led wine. Fruity with strong presence. While it opens strong, it calms down and is worthy of savoring and thinking about. Good with almost any food. Best with meat and pasta. (@ cinco sentidos)

PNP, wine was approachable from the get go with soft tannins, cassis, gentle red berries, and a fine finish. Drink now for maximum satisfaction.

While "entry" level this is not entry level flavor, nose, all of that! We PNP'ed the wine and were instantly rewarded with a rich, medium bodied pinot, with a longish, satisfying finish. Wine disappeared fast.

Cork=fine; Nose of dark berries, smooth tannins, modest acidity, flavors opened up over a couple of hours to nice combo of cherry/dark fruits, mineral, leather, with hint of eucalyptus. The long finish generated great joy. Drink soon.

PNP - A splendid wine with notes of a blend of berries followed by medium bodied red/blue berries with a welcome zing on top of a medium body. Wine was fairly open at open and added depth and menthol hints. While mature it seemed vigorous for its age. We like a bit of barnyard - so the added hint of barnyard was a plus. Best guess = drink now-18months.

A fine wine, a good value. Opens with nose of dark fruits, dark cherry. Palate matches adds rich cassis, faint minerality. Wine has distinct barnyard notes that fade as wine opens up. Still fleshy and silky as noted below. Long full finish.
