Decanted for 4 hours. Loosened up nicely , but still a muddled finish.

Much better this time. Fruit showed up, still just a touch brash. Wait another year before drinking

Needed a little time and air, but it really opened up to be a nice, structured example of what the region can do.

Tight. Really tight. Aerated into a decanter and decanted for an hour. Still too tight and bright. Aerated back into the bottle and corked. 24 hours later it finally opened up and showed its fruit. Great Bordeaux umami and structure.

Outstanding. Worth waiting for. Everything I would expect from a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. Balanced, integrated fruit and tannins on the palate. Bouquet is unctuous. Inviting. Yummy.

I’m sorry, but this kind of money and compared to vineyards nearby… disappointing.

Greatly benefits from a Montrachet glass. Good in a standard Chardonnay but the wider glass really opens this up.

Better than I expected. Really good… paired with Akaushi Terres Major in a kimchi glaze and miso butter grilled vegetables. Excellent throughout the hour of drinking it.

Still going. Beautiful dark ripe fruit after about 45 minutes. I venture this will still be wonderful for at least 2 more years.

Definitely needs to be between 55 and 58 degrees. Too cold resulted in over dry with barely discernible fruit. At about 55° the fruit showed up and it got nice. Too warm and it got palate clingy… cloying.

Beautiful now. Wish I had more… charred strawberries. Definitely strawberry with balanced acidity and a perfect smokey finish. Really interesting.

Everything I love about a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Nicely balanced fruit, leaning to ripe strawberries with perfect acidity. Enjoy now.

Not sure what the other review about a weird sweetish taste was... maybe soap in the glass. I will say that this is still a baby. Fruit balanced out with tannins after being open a couple of hours. Nice effort.

Love this stuff. Probably at its peak, but can still be wonderful for several years. Great expression of Rutherford. Balanced fruit, dust, leather... just dang good wine boys and girls. And this is a price conscious rating. Really good BV.

Brickish in color initially, turning a darker ruby as it aired. Gave it a good 45 minutes to open up and the fruit really showed up. Balanced with soft tannins , paired perfectly with achiote marinated Akaushi teres major and grilled broccolini. Worth the wait, and it’s ready!

For $50 this could have been an 89 point wine... and that’s rare that I deduct for value. I’m always impressed by how good Caduceus wines are in spite of the price I pay for them.

Good juice. Value proposition is suspect... Beginning to wane. Brickish around the edges in color. Took 45 minutes to air out and then was fading in an hour and a half. Drink now. Right now.

Decided to drink this because the capsule seemed to have pushed up from pressure. Sure enough, tell-tale blood line all thway up the cork confirmed my suspicions... Bottle probably got hot somewhere on its travels to me. Surprisingly, it was fine. In fact, it was very good. No brick ing in color, no off scent, excellent.

Nice nose, not overpowering... Just right.
Earthy, but fruit shows nicely after 30 minutes and really starts to work after an hour. Never wained... Still good for at least another 2-3 years but is ready now. For my palate, waiting will not improve it.

Drink now. Excellent bottle of wine. Starting to 'brick' in color and nose was a touch over ripe initially. Let it breath 45 minutes to an hour and the fruit shines. Balanced tannins, leather, game. Really nice with prosciutto / balsamic roasted Brussels sprouts and Parmigiano risotto.

Big, fabulous McClaren Vale Shiraz. Needed a good hour of being open to get good. Dark, ripe fruit nicely balanced by tannins and acidity. Great value.
