Opened. 22nd, evening.
Color. Golden honey
Nose. Honeycomb, orange marmalade, apricots in alcohol, stewed peaches. After a few minutes, hints of cream and linden leaves.
Palate. Upon opening, closed, alcohol. Slowly some weight comes through and oiliness.

23rd, midday.
Nose. Honey, linden, very matured orange, cooked peaches. Very little change in glass poured the night before. Maybe a drop of saffron.
Palate. Alcohol has subsided in glass poured night before. Light oiliness, bitter almonds, hint of stone fruit, lingering finish with hints of fruit. As if in a glass of water there were a few drops of stone fruit juice, and it lingers.

Poured from the glass. Nose. Little alcohol, oxidative notes, plums in alcohol.
Palate. Acidic, unripe nefle, bitterness in the finish.

Bought the bottle at Leclerc in Clichy (near Paris, France) for 10€.
Drank last night with two friends.
For me, each sip was intense, moving and vibrant.
The balance was perfect. The aromas were complex: incense, exotic wood, spices, dark fruits, tobacco, dark olives. The impact on the palate and the length were surprising, long and deep.
We carafed and drank within the hour with a dinner of pasta and ragu.

Still a powerful wine. Needs fifteen minutes to air, then offers itself for a few hours. Will return with detailed tasting notes.

The color showed some aging.
The nose was of medium intensity and expressive of dark fruits, and the palate offered a pleasant acidity and dark fruit aromas.
However, it slipped away within an hour.

Tasted with friends in inappropriate glasses. However ...
Nose: intense aromas of raspberry, strawberry, cedar, cherry jelly, hints of lavender, graphite, earthiness, blond tobacco, hints of spices.
Palate: silky and mature tanins. Balanced acidity. Aromas start as spices and exotic wood, opening towards cherry, cranberry, graphite, earthiness, smokiness. An elegant, silky length.
Bottle drunk in two hours.
Still has life!

Palate. pear, crisp apples. light/medium intensity. good acidity. ever so slight oily texture. no residual sugar, very dry. a long finish of apple/quince aromas and an acceptable bitterness.

Nose. Black cherries, prunes, dark plums, notes of new leather, cassis de Dijon, geranium. Hints of tobacco, green olives. Opens up to strong aromas of brewed coffee and dry earth. Notes of cigar ash.
Palate. Cranberry acidity and fruit. Sour cherries (that soften up with airing). Cigar ash!! Slightly metallic finish. The length of the finish is extraordinary.
A very complex wine that is still very expressive. If you can pair the sour cherries and cigar ash with some tasty meat and spices/herbs, this wine could offer a great experience. The balance leans slightly towards acidity.

Nose. cedar wood. oak. bright red berries. red cherries. hint of roses. graphite. fresh blond tobacco.
Palate. Still needs to integrate completely. Acidity almost correct, but still enjoyable. Tannins are grainy but fine. Finish is smokey with notes of graphite. May still need some time to show its fruit on the palate.
There are elements that will allow it to age well.

The cork did break, but I got it out before it crumbled. Hint: drive the corkscrew all the way through, and gently tug out. Nose of black cherries, black plums, pencil shavings, hints of strawberry, cassis and spices. A light body palate still offers some aromas of dark fruits (watered down cherry juice), pencil shavings and wooden notes. Tannins are soft. Some slight acidity similar to a green plum. Finishes on graphite notes and lingers gently. Drink now because it's slowly fading away.
