Wow an amazing wine, perhaps the best cab I have ever had. Popped and poured and open for drinking. Incredibly smooth mouthfeel, blueberries, smoke, and graphite.

Beginning to peek out from it's infancy, this gem will delight those with patience and restraint. A complex array of aromas waft from the glass filled with smoke, blackberry, coffee and menthol. Still tight, clutching hard, it will be a few years before this baby gives up it's best. Flavors of black fruit, mushrooms and cedar box dominate at this point. Waiting a few more years would be prudent.

I love these La Neblina's. Very smooth mouthfeel and easy drinking. Nice spice, sweet cherries and underbrush flavors. I like all of Eric's wines but these are just very enjoyable.

Drank with prime tenderloin and lobster tail at Willows for New Years. Not as impressive as I expected. Still has a fair amount of tannins but smoothed out over the first hour. Save the remaining bottles for a few more years.

Would be ordinary for a $20 cab, unfortunately pretty poor for a $60 cab. What happened as the 2001 was delicious?

If the 2002 is a 100 I would rate this a 96-97. First that I have tasted since releaase and this one will last a long time. Still needs a bit of a decant before it shows it's stuff. Smooth chocolate, black fruit and lead pencil. Delicious.

This wine is just coming into it's own. Nice nose with complex flavors of blackberries, meat and anise. I believe that Eric's wines need a number of years before they come into their own and the 2003/2004's are just starting to really show their stuff. Great wine!!

This wine has developed quite nicely over the years. i usually track closely with Tanzer, however he missed this one. An explosive mix of red fruit, earth and spice. Smooth drinking with resolved tannins. Delicious!!

Smooth drinking but has lost a lot of the complexity and flavors from previous tastings. Nice nose but thin on the palate. Drink up I think this is headed south.

Last bottle and wish I had more. This wine is totally underrated by Tanzer. Blueberries, chocolate, and black cherries dominate. This wine was opened for dinner and disappeared fast. Decanted for about an hour. Delicious offering that has many years of life remaining.

Last of our 2003's and it is still delicious. Drank at Mozelle's for our 29th anniversary with scallops and salmon. This wine shows no signs of fading at this point, however has most likely reached it's peak. Raspberry, spice, earth and funky mushroom flavors.

The last of 30 bottles. In spite of other tasting notes to the contrary I think this wine is still as fresh drinking as ever. Less oak which I like, but still buttery, fruit forward and quite tasty. In fact I wish I had a saved a few as I believe it is better now than years ago. Delicious. Will need to start drinking the 2005's.
