Decanted for several hours. This was a great wine but needs some time.

Brought to a wine club party. Tasted this back to back with a 2012 Chimney Rock and Gramercy won in my opinion (at I think half the cost). Very complex and balanced cab that will age exceptionally. Can't wait to open the other bottle in 2022 or so if I can wait that long!

Apparently my friend and I need to learn a bit more about the nuances of Bordeaux (based on my reading others' reviews)! We did not care for this, it seemed to have no fruit, and didn't get much better after decanting. I would have guessed it was past its prime, yet others feel it's still young! Maybe just a sub par bottle?

2011 Result of a Crush Red Wine Walla Walla Valley Syrah Blend, Syrah
No score as this may have been a bad bottle. It was so awful we poured it down the drain. I hope the next bottle is better otherwise this will go down as another Garagiste disappointment!

Decanted for three hours. DO NOT OPEN TILL 2017. REPEAT, DO NOT OPEN TILL 2017... After hours in the decanter I finally get Plumeria, sliced plum, black cherry, black olive, fried tofu and river rock. Depth on many fathoms; length and pristine tannins of silk. Evocative and exquisitely sophisticated. Longer than a Cure concert and indicative of place, yet also elusive in a welcomed way. Drink 2017 - 2030.

I totally agree, this baby need a few more years or a major decant!

2010 Ken Wright Pinot Noir Freedom Hill Vineyard Willamette Valley
4th Annual Pinot Extravaganza with Salmon Dinner (Eugene, Oregon): Did Not Enjoy this wine at all, Powdery Candy Fruit like a fun dip package, neeeded something, maybe time will turn this around I came back to this 3 times during the tasting to see if it would open up with air over the hours, nope

8/17/14, 12:07 PM - Great review and I totally agree, after a few hours it did not open up at all and there was very little fruit.

Wow, this is rocking on all cylinders right now. Did not expect much more than a nightly drinker. PNP, vanilla, tar, smoke and eucalyptus (menthol tones) flavors with medium dark fruit. Firm but not overpowering tannins, very well structured and balanced wine. Enjoyed this very much! Glad I have 3 more bottles. Nice find Full Pull.

1/25/14, 1:39 PM - I agree the problem is very few $25 wines are as good as this one!

This relatively inexpensive Pinot was tasted unblinded. The robe is medium ruby and the nose shows moderately intense aromas of strawberries, spice and (yes) marijuana. Light-bodied on the palate, with medium acidity, light sweet tannins and well-integrated alcohol. The flavors mirror the nose, including the off-putting marijuana note. The middle palate is thin and the finish is terse. This appears to be the product of over-cropping...not impressive, even for the low price. Drink now-12/14.

Smooth but not very deep or complex but very approachable. I expected a little more given the other Corliss wines I have had. This wine placed 2nd in a 5 person blind tasting against 3 other Cabs. 1st 2005 Silver Oak AV, 2nd 2005 Corliss CV Cab, 3rd 2007 Grand Reve Ciel du Cheval Reserve Cab, 4th 2001 Dunham VII Cab.

12/28/12, 4:23 PM - jacamp- You are right. Nothing was wrong with it I was just surprised by how much more deep and complex the Silver Oak was. I love Corliss and this was another good wine. I just thought it or the Grand Reve would have won the tasting.

Very nice wine for the price, espcially since I found obscure wines from Garagiste to be hit and miss. Good dark fruit with managable tannins, though a little rough around the endges. Even better on day 2.

    11/29/12, 7:27 PM - I agree, I have about a 50:50 hit rate on Garagiste wines.
