Complete. Purezza of fruit, herbal, silky and very much alive. A joy to drink and an overlooked wine in Austria among its alcohol-fattened peers. Only my opinion, but i see it near the very top inAT.

Pretty round and concentrated yet with a slight acidic edge. Evolves in the glass, becomes better and better, having tasted many GVs from my home country, this is among the top 3 (jurtschitsch and prager being the other ones )

At first white pepper and greenish apple, becomes more yellow fruited over time and gains some sweetness. Gulpable with potential.

The darker side of PN. Takes two days to open up. Dark cherries, herbal, sweetish, lowish acidity for PN. Long.

Sweetish red currant, leafs and black pepper. Round with a tight middle and somewhat harsh tannins. Should be given its time.

Classic cassis and plum on the nose, elegantly marked by the tonneaux. For DLC a bit lean but powerful, marked acidity and decent length. Less modern style than previous vintages.

Orange peel and a little sulphur on the nose. Apricot and lemony fruit, rocky, high acidity, honeyed aftertaste. Good.

On its way down, red and raisiny fruit, tannins are gone, the alcohol is already a bit disturbing. Okayish.

Yeasty sweet pear on the nose, creamy with a standout acidity, a bit too much dosage for me but still on the lower end. Good fizz.

On its way to shutting down for a few years, cassis some greenish pepper, cigars. On the palate red and cassis fruit are now receding, yet it is rather bright. Tannins are a bit austere. Wait.

Ripe, yet a little austere in style, a little too full for my taste, but a very good food companion. I count the austerity as a plus.

About to open up right now, stony, sweetish nose, a certain amine component is also there. All about the gorgeous mouthfeel, sweetness and drinkability.

Rising star from the Neusiedler See. As it says on the label, intense dark berry to blueberry, coating mouthfeel, highly drinkable. Recommended at its relatively low price.

Chenin blanc nose, yes, quince and lemons. Palate is a little stolid, a slight bitterness is there, hindering the limey fruit to shine. Good.

Very closed at the moment, opens up after 1-2 hours to reveal a blaufränkisch-like spiciness and rather dark fruit, lingering with albeit rustic tannins. Gets better and better in the glass, with menthol-like notes emerging at the last sip. Good stuff!

Sulfurously off nose, cooked eggs and all.....not easy to handle. Underneath all that there is a fine, very ripe old apple fruit, minerality and a good length. Wonder if the off notes will vanish over time.

Mörderschwefelböckser. Naja, darunter zumindest viel Birne und alter Apfel, recht frisch, voll und mit schöner Länge. Hoffe der Böckser gibt sich mit etwas Lagerung.

Vanilla, vanilla, vanilla - way too much of it. Although the underlying fruit in this wine is serious and less jammy than one might think after the first few sips. Fleshy bordeaux wine mutilated by cheap vanilla toasted barrels....

Deep nose of quince jam and cough syrup that loses its sweetness over time. Intense quince and pear cider aromas on the palate, finishing with herbally tinged orange peels. Very nice wine, very solid for the price.

Herbal and green nose, a bit of granny smith as well - on the palate rather broad and overt with appley fruit, sweetish, herbs come in again but the acidity does not carry. Seems overweight although it has only 13% alc. Nice length, but I expected more @~30€

Ethereal interpretation of BF, earth and juniper on the nose, followed by a little unripe brambleberries - on the palate this dissolves into an down to earth BF with a silky mouthfeel, more dark cherries than brambleberry and a pinot-like lightness hit in. Very nice, recommended!

As someone already stated this is pretty solid with a lot of racy lemony acidity and quite fresh - not too complex, phenolic components come in as well, a little sweet fruit from the Scheurebe too. Nice drink.

Pruney, sweet, kirsch liqeur - that's what this wine tastes like, pretty new-worldish, Argentinian style of wine but it is still drinkable and not the standard jammy stuff you get from there. Drink now, won't get any better.

Agree with EMAZurich here, at the beginning some petrol and the wine seems a little older than it is. With air the wine gains apricot fruit and lemon cests, high, gushing acidity that seems to wipe the enamel off your teeth, only medium length, mineral feeling, tight, but hey, what a quaffer. Would have guessed 12% alc but it is 13,5%. Very good wine from an excellent vintage although it was lowly valued when the wines came out.

2014 wasn't kind to this wine. Stone fruit and yeast on the nose, lemon peel as well. On the palate quite thin, acidic, rather short but still with some drinking momentum. Okay, but I am used to much better wines by Josef Dockner.

Surprisingly good Priorat considering the low price (for Priorat) of ~16€
Eucalyptus nose, baked yeast bread, dark chocolate, sweet red berry grenache as well - first gulp is already balanced, harmonious sweetish fruit, slightly grainy tannins on your tongue, a bit of cedary wood as well. Only on the finish a little heat comes through. Recommended!

I do not understand the low ratings, this is one of the really pure and profound BF of Austria. Very junipery nose, no oak, pure BF fruit, a bit tart maybe but very much alive and open. On the palate this is silky pure BF juice, black berries and juniper, fully ripe and long. One could criticize the one-dimensional character as of now. But this will show a lot more layered in a few years time. Buy this if you want to know what BF is about.

What a baby this wine is and yet so intense. Searing acidity, yellow fruit and flowers on the nose as well as in the mouth, spring herbs appearing over time, very tightly wound wine. Wait. Or decant and get a glimpse of what this wine will be like in 5 years.

First off - leave this bottle in the cellar for another 3-4 years
The nose is quite pepperish and filled with blueberry and leather but the palate is dominated by a gripping acidity and a clearly non-sweet blue fruit, long but still not harmonious - this changed for the better over 2hrs of airing but never quite came around as really open.

Very serious burgundy red at ~18€ nose of bright raspberry and cherry, a bit herbal with stems on the nose. Serious drink, ripe but not sweet cherries, truffle notes and a bit of mushrooms, medium length. Very satisfying burgundy, a terrific value wine.

From a bottle which was opened days ago : Noble and elegant nose, liquorice and herbs with sour cherry, suggesting an excellent wine. On the palate it is very light with a strong acidity, again sour cherries and herbs, darker, earthier undertones as well, it lingers, but not for too long. Really serious wine, put it away for another 3-4 years to shine.
