Wow what a wine. Today 19/20yrs later this wine is right in the majority wheelhouse. Right now is all the CDP taste like. Amazing youthful but rich meaty fruits, cigar smoke, saddle leather, plumb sauce all come to mind. Decanting is highly recommend!
It will nice to follow this wine over the next decade.

Outstanding wine. It’s now firing on all cylinders. I opened one 5yrs ago and it was still tight. Now after time and 90min decanting I feel like opening them all up. It’s interesting that RP called Spottswoode the Chateau Margaux of Napa. I would say this bang on. It’s so Bordeaux like and it’s all I love.

If you love Chanti this one is a rock star. I opened it and decanted for 60min. It’s a lovely Sangiovese at the finest. Nose is a heavy dark chocolate, strawberry, and warm toffee.Taste is lovely smoke, tabbaco, incense spices, and warm fruit cake. This wine will age effortlessly for another 10/15year. If you have any wonderful to enjoy with it’s silky tannnis but it will be nice to see what it’s like in 15 years time as it’s ages.

Beautiful wine that’s hitting all the strides today. Decanted for 1hr and opens to rush of red berries. Nose has a wonderful Carmel butter tart with dried cherries. Taste is a lovely mouth full of strawberry pie and warm toffee. This wine is young and certainly will benefit with 5/10yrs of age. It’s beautiful to enjoy today but so glad I have lots more.

Opened this for Passover Sedar and at 19yrs of age and 2hrs of decanting. There was no disappointment. This wine has a long life ahead. Classic pencil graphite raspberry on the nose. Taste of warm caramel toffee, saddle leather, and red cassis. The taste goes on and on. I would suggest next bottle to open is 10yrs from now. I think this has about 25/35yrs to go but oh so good along the way. Cheers. Stay Safe all !

Lovely wine that is certainly in the wheel house today. Decanted first 45min. Lovely notes of tabbaco, saddle leather, and warm berry pie on the nose, the taste is a wonderful strawberry, mineral, earthy. This wine has grown on me. I have some 2009, 2010 but very pleasantly surprised how lovely the 2008 is drinking today. Enjoy

Opened and decanted for 40min. Lovely drinking wine. I debated about opening a 03 vs 07. The 07 is right in the wheelhouse today. It’s got a lot of life but nice to crack one open today. Lots of fruit and it gets deeper as it aerates.

I bought these in 2015 will I was visiting Bordeaux. Great store in Margaux and I was recommended to try one. Holy smokes was it good. So I bought a case and today was the first one I’ve had since then. Decanted at restaurant for 40min and this wine sings a beautiful melody. There is gobs of fruit in the nose and the taste opens up to all I love about Bordeaux. Leather, cassis, strawberry, with hint of warm chocolate molten cake. all in this wine is true pleasure to enjoy today and for many more years. Cheers all!

Utterly stunning wine. Took about 45min to truly open up after decanting. Do not pop and pour!!! Classic Bordeaux with lead pencil deep leather with warm cherry 🍒 compote. Absolutely love this wine and so glad to have more. 2003 vintage was vilified by many but a true all star emerged from parts of Left Bank. 03 COS is also a 100 and will be ready to drink in 4/5yrs. Laggy slightly behind its neigbour Montrose

Beautiful Bordeaux wine. When open it has a musty old barn yard smell. Decanted for 75/90min and look out. There is lovely floral sense of fresh cut grass. Forset floor, tabbaco, and molton chocolate strawberry are all evident in here. The future of this wine is bright. It’s easy to think off drinking my whole case but I’ll hold off and enjoy the evalotion of this 22yrs + wine

Opening this champagne gives me all the reason why love Champagne 🥂. This is truly a beautiful bottle of wine. Colour of raw straw and has a remarkable nose of brioche toast, honeysuckle, apple, and pineapple. As the evening wore on this wine just got better. The finish is so long. Very mineral and balanced all the way. This was the first of case I broke open. So glad to have allot more. Future is very bright for this wine.

This is wonderful wine to enjoy anytime. Regrettably this was my last bottle. I have lots of 2009,and 2010 but 2007 was very expressive. It took a while to open open up but after 1hr in glass this wine had load of green Apple 🍏 fruit on its nose. The taste was hints of cotton candy and honeysuckle. There is no doubt this wine has lots of life still available in it. It’s truly so beautiful today but future bright.

Truly stunning wine. Took to a restaurant and they didn’t charge me corkage. Decanted for 2hrs. What a wine. After spending time at Chapoutier winery in Tain,Fr. I have gained a total appreciation for there wines. Nose was a powerful sense of tabbaco, leather, dark chocolate. The taste was so intense. Flowing flavours of lead pencil, butterscotch, and pecan pie. There’s a hint of flower in there but ever so lightly. 1995 is joy to experience today but this wine can easily cellar for another 10yrs and beyond. So happy to have more!

Wanting to see how this 2005 was progressing. Decanted for 4hrs and and it’s progressing well. Glad to have more. Smell of rose hips, coco, and fruity note. Very soft and velvety. Taste has allot of chocolate with strawberries. Also some sense of leather and carmel. This is one Napa Valley Finest and it’s got a big future ahead of it. 2002 is still the finest but 2005 is a winner.

Utterly stunning wine. Wow 😮 is best description. 1996 Salon is wine for the century. It is still an infant today. Smell of cotton candy, honey succule and brioche toast. Taste has carmel apple 🍏, belgium waffles, and kiwi 🥝 fruit. Others have said this but at 21yrs of age it’s truly only at half it’s life and if that. It will age effortlessly for 20-25yrs. This is one Blanc to Blanc Champagne every collector should have in the collection. Further when you drink this use Chardonnay glasses not a Champagne flute.

The taste is very smooth and the tannins are shedding off. The tatste gives you lots of warm Strawberry compote. Chocolate cake and tabbaco leaf. It goes on for a min and this wine is ready today but will give lots of pleasure for another 10yrs for sure.

This wine is truly going to be an All Star when it grows up. The 06 is still young and needs time. Decanted for 2hrs. The Nose exhibits heavy fruit of Boysenberry, Cherry, and Cacco. The Taste is flowing warm molten chocolate cake, saddle leather, spice box. The Tannins are still very evident. The wine is still very young. Typical of E.Guigal La LA wines that are very slow to evolve. I'm so glad to have allot more. This is very good grape juice.

I have had this wine a few times. I opened this from another 6pk and decanted it for 2hrs before taking it to a restaurant for dinner. This wine is simply sublime. Tannins have shed and maturity is set in. At age 21 it's finally hitting its stride. It is no where's in decline. In fact this wine will cellar well for another 15yrs. The nose is so strong. Fruits of boysenberry and blackberry wift through. Taste of saddle leather, tabbaco, and carmel. I love this wine and so glad to some more. It will very interesting to see what a few years add to this wine. If you have some today you can certainly open it today or wait. Either way you will not be disappointed.

Lovely Wine and most enjoyable. Decanted for 2.5hrs and if blindfolded you can truly understand why RP calls this wine Chateaux Margaux in Napa. It's so smooth and has so much of a classified Bordeaux in it. The wine smells like blueberry, blackberry, and lavender fields. This wine is full body but still very youthful. The 2002 is now open to enjoy. Although it will age effortlessly for 3 decaceds if not more. This is powerhouse but not in heavy Napa Cab way. More like a smooth aged Bordeaux.

Amazing Wine. 2.5hrs decanted. Opens to warm molten chocolate cake. Raspberry jam, and forest floor. The tannins have shed and this wine is now entering its mature plateau. Drink this today or enjoy it over the next 3 decades. It is no doubt built for the long haul. It would be interesting to put side by side it's younger sibling the 1990 in 20yrs and see who wins. The 1989 is truly legendary!

Opened this wine last night. Decanted 2.5hrs. Absolutely stunning wine. The nose is so vibrant. It's as if the whole restaurant could smell it. It is now fully hitting its stride. Full body and tannins are shed. There still a hint which tells me it still young. Forest floor, blueberry, flower, warm butterscotch. The taste is a full min and more. I suggest this wine is beginning to eclipse its older sibling the 1990. Spectacular wine that can drink today or over the next 20yrs
