Excellent d'Yquem. All the typical but gorgeous nose and flavor notes. Kept the wife happy but I wished it had more age.

Nicely aged Les Pavots from an average vintage but clearly well built. Still ample fruit overrated by silky smooth tannins. WOTN even against an aged red burg and d'Yquem.

Still in great drinking condition. Paired very well with guava smoked pork. Dust and fruit were a good combination with the salt and smokiness of the pork.

Still a lot of life and could age even longer. Green and vegetal upon the first open. After an hour decent, this baby started opening up. Chocolate and coffee notes. Soft tannins, but still structured and not flabby. This is not going to be your WOTN but awesome QPR. Enjoyed with braised short ribs. Perfect.

Excellent, smooth silky tannins. Worth the long wait.
The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like dust, vanilla, lead pencil, blueberry and black currant (cassis). It tastes like blueberry, black currant (cassis), dust, vanilla and lead pencil. The body is medium. The wine has satin-like texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Wow, what a surprise. This champagne settled down over a few years from a bit too beastly to an elegant feminine treat. Bottles consumed in 2010 and 2011 were too big and even bolder than Krug MV. But in 2013, it was more refined and lady-like, a true treat. Traits of honey, nuts and spice but now refined.

WBSRT - you better consume this now!

Whoa. This is a cup of raw over ripe berries covered with sugar and then Smuckers fruit jam. A bit much for me. Comments for WSBRT.

A special treat to find on the restaurant wine list. Great nose, lush berries but not overwhelming, chocolate, velvet tannins. Only have the 2001 vintage as a reference point and it outshined by a wide margin.

such an interesting wine. Interesting nose. Sherry like after first taste, but after 1 hour decant flavors of dried strawberries, cigar box, and olives. Long on the tongue on the open and mid palate. Shorter finish, but smooth tannins. Nice!
