Smoked cherry and Strawberry confiture ala roll-up, wrapped by integrated but modernistic oak.

Booze notes spring forward on the finish , passing the sweet spot ever so slightly.

Medium+

With roasted duck it’s hard to put down, but drink in the upcoming year to savor the Carneros fruit.
Red
Lighter body while upholding quality Pinot characteristics.

Smoked bacon/roasted fruits dominated the first half of the bottle.

Tasted next to 2008.

Leaner and more Rhône like than the 2008.

Thinner with more tannins gripping on the finish. Dark-Smokey fruit, more eucalyptus grove notes.
Smoked pig fat lingering finish

Drank next to the 2010

Denser and darker fruit. Fading stewed fruit , ocean rock, soft vanilla-tannins, savory herbs.

Big bright fruit, black tea, coffee and asphalt. People thought it was a Pinot!

Definitely on the downward slip of things.

First 30 min - alcohol was out of sync, and eventually balanced out

Classic Napa fruit with tertiary notes, menthal, and slight hints of herbaceous in the mid pallet - followed by mellow oak

Wowza- blew us away! Cloudy-Camp fire, cranberry/Pom juice- extracted dark cherry, finished with a mineral laced finish.

A tad over the hill but cellared well and proved it could hang.
Red
Dark cocoa/chocolate, charred dark fruit, leather, blood and bold chalky tannin. After an hour decant the tannins subsided and this turned into a fun glass of petite. I feel like this is in great window now-considering the balance of fruit and tertiary components.
Red
Not sure if flawed, but this was a poor showing. Sour, burnt rubber, little to no bouquet, maybe some slight apple skin. Very thin
Red
Drank with pops alongside duck confit. Notes of dark fruits, leather, honeycomb.
Primary notes starting to integrate as well as acidity. Drinking very well

Loved this full bodied wine. Really expressed the central coast qualities well. Rich fruit, spice, balanced tannins and acids. Drinking well now

Melon, tropical, green apple, nutty tea.

Slight funky grass/hay upon opening, but that quickly blew off to reveal a rich fuller bodied Sauvignon Blanc.

Yumm!

Acidic black cherry, whiskey barrel, lightly spiced and medium bodied.

Drinking well but perhaps a bit over the hill.

Good....not great not bad. Big Pinot almost Syrah like. A little off balanced with the dark fruit and accidity. The initial fruit and heat blew off with some time, but grew a little flabby. Balanced well with some BIG dishes

Drinking very well. Took a little while to open up, however glad we let it go some time so we could witness the delicate fruit, mild spices and hints of minted forest floor. Represented its growing conditions very well and was quite the treat to pair a excellent meal with. May have a few more years, but drinking to well now to risk it.

I wanted to like this wine. Slight Green apple, ripe stone fruit, medium oak and a little hot. It had all the components I look for in a Chard, but feel that the acidity is falling away from a balanced composition. The overall consensus at the table was it is possibly over the hill or in an awkward dormant faze....probably the former

At first we were finding the herbs and spices that we were expecting from this wine, however it quickly faded and did not hold up after decanting. Drink em if you got em
