Strong nose of blackberry liquore, cassis, graphite. Palate has inviting dark fruit notes, strong tannic backbone, and appealing acid. Definitely well-made as usual and a strong presence on the palate, well balanced and complex.

Drank out of magnum- Amazingly balanced and complex. The usual tannin structure of this wine had shed while complex fruit had stayed behind. The aromatics were full of dark fruits and a hint of vanilla oak with secondary notes. The nose is followed up with similar characteristics on the palate, the wine really did benefit from the medium term cellaring. I real pleasure!

Fantastic! Very complex on the nose with tar, leather, and dried red/black fruits. Palate is very expressive for a very youthful wine. Impressive balance and well-integrated tannins, really shines in this great vintage. There is always an enviable harmony to the Siro Pacenti wines. Truly impressive!

Nose has wild strawberries and a crushed stone, mineral aspect. The palate is light-medium bodied and an excellent expression of the Nerello grapes of Sicily. The fruit sings with a sexiness found in top shelf Pinot Noir, an eye-opening wine!

Crisp and fresh on the nose with pear and mineral. Palate is Chablisian* with good acid, vibrant fruit, and balance. A beautiful Chardonnay at a modest price.

Nose is rich with dark cherry and cola and very fresh. Palate is seamless with dark fruits and acid, has the "stuffing" of much higher priced wine.

Nose is filled with dry cherry and coke/cola with an interesting cinnamon note. Palate has bright/full acidity and cherry juice, good balance and fairly complex. Could see a lot of new world Pinot drinkers finding this delicious.

Raspberry and kirsch on the nose with a background of wild game and underbrush. Evolved wine on the palate with dried raspberry, fine tannins and black cherry as well. Wine has held up quite well at age 13.

Red fruits on the nose and a consistent spice note found in both Pinots (Rice-Spivak as well). Palate is seamless with notes of red fruits and a cherry spice note. Just short of the Rice-Spivak on overall appeal but enjoyed this Pinot very much.

Loads of dark fruits on the nose and a bit of herbal "garrigue" if you will. Class and elegance on the palate with currant and blackberry and as this price tag indicates, this is expensive, well made wine all the way. Long finish with lingering tannins and truly well balanced. Great wine!

Tar, blackberry and a rich kirsch liqueur note. Well structured tannins and a very balanced wine, this absolutely delivers the goods for its modest price point (Conterno wine).

Deep amber/orange color... wines smells of apricots and orange marmalade. Impeccably stored bottle, decanted and drank 2 hours after. Enough acidity to keep the wine balanced. Thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Interesting wine... Held up well. Leather and dried floral notes, still has good acidity and structure. Another 5-7 years possibly?

Wine was vibrant with balanced acidity. Hints of grapefruit and tangerine on the palate. Interesting Rose compared to a number of its peers.

Deep golden color a-typical of your run of mill New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Notes of citrus and grilled pineapple on the nose with bright tropical notes. Vibrant acidity on the palate, again with notes of Pineapple with lemon and lime that sails to the lasting finish. Exciting wine for a category that occasionally disappoints with mediocrity.
