Some wine had seeped past the cork, but wine seemed fine.

Despite that, excellent. Needed a decant. Very forward in the mouth. Ripe dark fruit. Some tannins but not overbearing. I wouldn’t wait to drink.

It’s still got it! Surprising after 30+ years.

Buttery; felt familiar, like a California mid-range run of the mill chardonnay. Plenty of oak. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing special.

Dry, sharp, v different from their standard sauvignon. Nice.

Classic, fruity, easy to drink

Sweet w/ a bit of tart acidity which nicely cuts through the sugar.

More acid than their Te Koko. A lot more buttery on the start. Nice and fresh though, less of the buttery finish than you'd think from the first taste. Nice.

I was surprised this was sauvignon blanc; might have guess chardonnay or pinot gris. Wild yeast, extra year in barrel, French oak (which you definitely taste). A bit more body than the standard Cloudy Bay SB, no acid.

Less acidic & tart than past CB sauvignon's I've had. Was a bit surprising, but this could be a bit more approachable on its own (though less of a good accompaniment to spice foods).

Balanced. Floral notes. Some residual sweetness. Something lingers, some finish. Maybe oak?

Smells acidic but tastes less so. Decent QPR.

Barely any nose, other than a faintly unpleasant note when I opened the bottle. High acid — I'd probably guess this was a sauvignon blanc — with some faint lemon, apricot, and distinct herbacious-ness (another taster said grass or green pepper; I could see that). Not much of a finish.

Distinct raisin notes but otherwise unremarkable.

Velvet, coffee, cherry. Fruit forward, but full bodied. Nice. Best of the reds we tried at Ridge.

Tobacco, cherry. Full body, solid tannins, very earth. Great nose. Fruit came through eventually, but wasn't initially too present.

Initially tasted almost too much vanilla, but it mellowed out after a few sips. Light acid, very bright; comes together really well. Didn't have this with food, but I could imagine it'd be great with a pasta + creamier sauce.

Distinct (though light) oak influence mellowing out some strong acid and spice.

Silky and spicy, with hefty mouth feel. Distinct acidity. Tasted very young, but with lots of potential. Looking forward to trying this in ~5 years.

Full bodied and balanced with distinct tannins. Nicely structured. My favorite of the pinot tasting.

Very light body, very fruit forward; Bright and acidic, with no noticeable tannins and nose. Maybe this will evolve into something great but seems extremely young.

Unfiltered and fined; heavier body, strong tannins, some acid. Seems pretty balanced. Pales in comparison to some of Fogarty's other elite pinots.

Low tannins, medium/high acid, moderate body, fruit forward. Nothing particularly objectionable, but I'd expect more at this price point.

Made in amphorae (vs. stainless steel for the Rosso Toscana). It's almost like you can taste the clay. A cooler wine, with strong tannins but still retains quite a bit of fruit. We went back and forth on this one; definitely not a $50 bottle (in the store).

Very light color with a light body and medium nose. I got coffee notes. It was a hit before food came out, but it couldn't compete with a strongly dressed lemon salad. I'll get a few bottles of this for light drinking, but never pair it with food.

Tasted after decanting for an hour. Balanced, toasty oak present, with blackberry sweet tannin finish. Lovely, drinking well now.

Decanted & aerated. Unexpectedly fantastic. A mellowed syrah, not too fruit forward, lots of complexity. Sad that I only had one bottle!

Really disappointing night one: Flat, and almost flavorless. Really opened up the second night, and redeemed itself. I'd never drink another bottle without at least 4 hours of decanting.

I'm not an experienced champagne drinker. This one definitely stood out compared to run-of-the-mill bottles, but it seems to be more competition for Veuve, rather than world-class champagnes. Poor QPR.

Strange wine. Comes out a murky gold. Tastes thick and sweet, with a tangy and slightly sour finish. If someone told me this was a very unusual beer in a blind taste, I might believe them.

Really interesting wine — on first taste, immediately after opening & 1hr of chilling, had strong buttery notes reminiscent of chardonnay. As the bottle opened up and was exposed to air, took on some sharp & peppery pinot notes.
