Great balance and complexity - red fruit and acidity initially that
evolves into smokey and spicy elments. A fantastic QPR that is ready to go now or you could wait a couple of years. I don't know how long these will last, if offered again I will need to reload.

Decanted 12hours, and consumed over 2 days. Day one blue and black fruit, nice minerlity and floral elements. The fruit is muted but underlying, really good acitdity. Day two (36 hours after opening) wow, the fruit is more prominent and everything has really come together. This is going to be killer stuff in a couple of years. My score reflects day two and the potential here. Another tasting note stated: Paul, the winemaker, left me these instructions for trying one of these early: "I recommend a double decant (into decanter back to bottle) and then 24hrs (without the cork) if drinking soon." If you have to drink one of these early definitely heed this advice it takes a little planning ahead but you will be rewarded.

Decanted 1 hour - Wow what a beauty - well integrated with blackberry and blueberry that transitions seamlessly into peppery mid-palate before finally rounding into the meat/smokey elements that remind me of burnt ends from smoked brisket. Definitely going back for more.

Decanted for an hour - bright ruby red - Very lush with juicy acidity, blackberry, raspberry, Chinese five spice and smokey element. There are also some floral and herbal notes. Super wine that if I tasted it blind would think this is a Rhone wine. Nice round medium plus finish. Great QPR if you see it definitely pick it up.

- Garnet color and aromas of black pepper, cherry, raspberry and smokey - Decantd two hours consumed over two days. A little disjointed with some heaton day one but came together on day two heat subsided and the fruit came more to the forefront. There is a peppery element here that's interesting and ads some complexity. Pretty good nowbut I think it needs another year possibly two.

- Ruby color and aromas of cherry, rose, smokey and dusty. It's balanced with a medium body. Juicy texture with a medium finish - Decanted an hour consumed over two days - very bright and acidic fruit is prominent in the beginning but transitions into the more floral and earthy elements really good. This was even better on day two and really came together. This is good now but I think it will be really good in two more years definitely need to pick up a couple more to see where it goes.

Easy to drink but not simple citrus elements transition to oak and then acidic finish really good. Also has the stuff to age for another year or two,but is excellent right now.

On the nose citrus notes lemon and lime, pineapple and peach. On the palate the citrus initially dominates but rounds into the pineapple and peach. Definitely off-dry, with just the right amount of sweetness. A good daily drinker, nothing profound but you cant beat the price.

Really nice with pepper, smoke with a hint of bacon on the nose. On the palate the fruit becomes more apparent with plum and blackberry. This is drinking really well right now with everything integrated well. The tannins are smooth with an nice medium finish. - Garnet color. It's balanced and has flavours of cherry, mint and smokey with a medium body. Bright texture with a medium finish - Decanted for 2 hours, a restrained Pinot that has a bit of alcohol on the nose and palate. Was better on day two the traces of alcohol present subsided and it developed nicely. If drinking now decant for a significant period of time, could use another year.

- Garnet color. It's balanced and has flavours of cherry, black pepper and smokey with a medium/full body. Round texture with a medium finish - Decanted 2 hours - even after being decanted this is still a bit of a brut the tannins are still a bit over pronounced at this point but there is enough fruit and acidity here to reign it in. This one needs another year or a long decant.

- Garnet color and aromas of black currant, smokey, coffee and oak. It's balanced with a medium body. Smooth texture - I have never had a bad wine from Sean Minor, they are some of the best qpr wines out there and always deliver above their price point. A great everyday wine drinks better than a lot of CA cabs in the 20 to 40 dollar range.

This wine was considerably better day 1 so if you don't finish the bottle definitely take steps to delay the process of it degrading.

Decanted 2 hours - on the nose - black fruit currant and black cherry, a bit of smoke and spice. On the palate very fruit forward and runs up to the line of being jammy puts a foot over the line but pulls back just before jumping over. I consumed this bottle over 3 days and the last glass was the best everything was finally starting to come into balance. My suggestion is if you like the big ripe style drink it now and over the next year, if you prefer more of the accenting smoke and spice elements cellar it for a couple of years.
