interesting, jury will still be out for a while on this one, maybe it is still closed down. Decanted for an hour, nose was very pleasant - flowers, menthol, red berries. Palate was cherry, leather and earth, but fruit was closed. Had a big body with solid tannins and a great mouthfeel and long finish which leads me to think there is more here that some additional decanting or cellaring may bring out. Have one more bottle and will hold for a while before trying again.

wow! I thought I held on to this for a tad too long and would be past its prime, but this is still singing and beautifully. gorgeous nose floral, red berry and cherry. palate is still bursting with flavor, juicy acidity and plenty of cherry fruit with a long finish. what an outstanding value.

got this at a discount for $40, seemed like a deal since looks like it's valued at $75. now I understand why it was discounted and still not worth the price at all. there is zero fruit and nose to this wine, it wasn't that the wine went bad, it's just a poor showing for a cab. very light bodied for a cab and mostly herbs and earth.

Big mountain fruit that definitely needs some time to mellow, we drank too fast though as it was still delicious. Will reward those with more patience.

thoroughly enjoyed this, it is a Paso take on CdP. Total Rhone blend with some petite sirah. the grenache fruit takes center stage here and the syrah adds earthiness while the PS finishes with a bit of cola, which I liked but my wife wasn't crazy about.
